"Oh my gosh, I can't believe I'm actually here!" I exclaim.

We all got up and walked out the door. Ryland grabbed my luggage and his and everyone else grabbed their own (ah, the perks of being the youngest). I hopped down the steps and through the front doors of the hotel. It was huge! There were couches and chairs and tables set up in one room, and food and candy for sale in another. Rocky and I walked over to see the candy (they would suspect stuff if we were gone too long, so it was better to scope it out now). They had so much candy! Snickers, M&M's, Tim Tams, Jaffas, Sour Patch Kids, you name it, they had it. After we saw what they had, we walked back over to the reception desk.

"Boo!" I yelled, jumping on Ross' back. He jumped and I laughed so hard.

"What are you doing?!" he whisper-yelled.

"Scaring you. I did a pretty good job, didn't I," I told him.

"Ugh, I hate you!" he said, laughing. Right when I jumped off his back, Riker was handed the key to our room. We got two, but they were connected. Same as always. We all walked to a lift.

"I call glass side!" I yelled. I loved getting the glass side because you could see the ground getting farther and farther away, and looks so cool.

"Awwe, I wanted the glass!" Ellington whined.  laughed and he punched my playfully in the arm.

"Ow! That hurt real bad!" I said, even though it didn't.

"Oh can it." Ell shot back, laughing. I cracked up, who says that anymore?

"There's enough room for two people..." Rydel told us, confused. That made us laugh so much harder. We heard a ding and the lift's doors were opening. I ran inside before Ellington and spread my arms and legs so he couldn't get the side I was on.

"Hey! That's not fair!" he scolded.

"Go stand next to your girlfriend," I told him.

"Oh, I get it, Mrs. I'm in Love With the Boy Down the Street From Me," Ellington mocked.

"Yeah, right. I'm in love with a boy I met 2 days ago, part of a family you were going to send me away with. Sure."

The lift jolted to a stop and the doors opened. I let out a sigh of relief and stepped off the lift. Our room was at the end of the hall so that's where we headed. There was a big brown, wooden door which Riker swiped the card towards and it unlocked. The door was pulled open by Rydel and I raced nobody inside.

"Wow," I gaped, looking all around. So this is what happened when my parents, a money saving gift to the world, didn't plan our holiday. The outcome was wonderful, high ceilings and huge beds, a kitchen and clear windows overlooking the Sydney Harbour. I already knew from listening in on conversations that there was an indoor pool somewhere upstairs and a deck that went over the harbour. I would have to explore that when Rocky and I went to buy candy later. I immediately jumped and looked at both rooms, connected by a door that was already opened.

"I like this one, I like this one!" I exclaimed. "Rydel, can we pretty please have this room?" I pleaded with her, because we had to share a room.

"Yeah, long as it's got a bed," she mumbled, kicking off her shoes and collapsing onto the bed closest to the windows.

"Goodnight, Delly," I told her, climbing into my bed.

I was drifting off to sleep when I heard someone in my room.

"Who is that?" I whispered, scared out of my wits. Nothing. "Please, who are you?" I pleaded with them to come out. "Please don't hurt me!"

"Bah!" Rocky whispered, sitting on my bed next to me. "Scared ya, didn't I." I nodded and wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Carry me?" He didn't answer, but I assumed it was a yes because he stood up and took me with him. Rocky slipped on his slippers and I glanced at the mismatched socks on my feet; pink and yellow stars and black and white polka dots. He slowly fumbled around in the dark, feeling along a table for the card so we weren't going to be locked out. I guess he found it because there was a click and the door opened for us. He shut it slowly behind us and we got hit with the bright lights of the hallway.

"We did it!" he told me, not bothering to whisper anymore. I laughed.

"Rocky, can we explore some of this place too?"

"If we're not too sick from eating all that candy!" We made it down to the lift and the doors opened. We walked inside together and the ground seemed to be taken out from under me as I watched the red, illuminated numbers count down from 34, the floor we were staying on. 16,15,14, I looked out the glass window. 7,6,5 I looked at Rocky's watch, midnight. 3,2,1, and the door dinged and opened. Rocky walked to the place we had been before, where there was candy for sale.

"Knock yourself out," he told me.

"Really?!"

"Of course! I have money. Go crazy." I looked at all the candies and decided on a Snickers bar, Skittles, Jaffas, and a Tim Tam. I took it all and Rocky paid for it.

"Thanks, you really are the best big brother ever," I told him as we found a seat in the lobby. Rocky had gotten some Nerds and a Hershey's Bar.

"And you are the best little brother." I caught onto what he said.

"Hey!" I scolded. He laughed.

"Sorry, it's just so hard to take you seriously with chocolate all over your face!"

"Haha, why would you want to be neat and tidy when no one cares? I want candy, I'm gonna get candy and eat it fast. I want it all!" I said as Rocky handed my a tissue and I cleaned myself up. We broke out laughing and stood up.

"Still wanna go exploring?" Rocky asked. I nodded. There was a map of the floors by the lift which we looked at and decided to go look at the 12th floor, the one with the pool and food. We took the lift up and walked down the hall to the pool. There was a deck that over looked the Sydney Harbour! It was amazing, and the city was all lit up and practically glowing. The water sparkled and the cars going over the Sydney Harbour Bridge made it look like the sky was raining gold. It made me so happy, and I wanted to stay there all night. But a voice belonging to Rocky called me in.

"Zanni, it's getting late and we have a lot to do tomorrow. Let's go back to the room." I took one last look at the harbour before going back inside. I could see it all again tomorrow and that in itself made me smile. Rocky held out his hand and I placed mine inside of his. We walked hand in hand down the hall after one perfect night.
