Zara's P.O.V
I stared as the house that I used to sleep in, do my homework in, eat in and play with my brother in, burned down. I could tell by the looks on everyone's faces that they were getting quite impatient with the fire brigade to arrive. Zayn had made a call to the ambulance as well.
In the car, away from any inhalation of smoke, I was sitting next to Ibrahim, who had his face in his hands. I could tell he was crying, so was I. Although they weren't my real parents, for a long time, I believed that they were, so they still meant the world to me. Ibrahim got up from his position, and wiped his eyes.
"You alright?" asked Niall, looking at him.
He nodded his head slightly, however, his nod was interrupted by a couple of loud sirens. I scrambled to the window and saw that the fire brigade and ambulance had finally arrived. We all exited the car and a nurse took one look at Ibrahim before she took him into the car. I saw the firefighters trying their best to save the house and Ibrahim's parents. I saw two bodies on the carts, which were then rolled into the ambulance.
Quickly, we got into the car, and Louis quickly drove us to where the ambulance was going. The whole time, I was sobbing and the boys wiped away a couple of tears.
Niall's P.O.V
We finally got to the hospital and followed the nurse into the room where Ibrahim and his parents were kept. Ibrahim looked fine. I wish I could say the same to his parents. They were burnt so badly, it looked like it was hard for them to even breathe.
I remembered the way Ibrahim's mum smiled when she saw my empty plate, and when I got seconds. I remembered hearing Ibrahim's dad laughing when he saw my eyes light up when the plates were placed in front of us. All of these memories could be gone in an instant, just because of a fire.
Together, we went to see how Ibrahim, his mum and his dad were. They could recover, couldn't they? After about half an hour, the nurse told us that we should wait in the reception, so they could perform tests on the family.
1 Hour Later
Although the nurses kept telling us that they would call us when somebody is discharged, we didn't take the offer and waited patiently. Finally, a nurse came, Ibrahim following her, crying. We all got up simultaneously to let the news - from what it seemed like, bad news - hit us.
"It's hard to break this to you, but, unfortunately, Aliyah Khaleed has died, while Abdul Khaleed is suffering from lung cancer," the nurse explained, whilst Ibrahim walked over to our group. Harry took him in a hug and let him cry. Zara was crying too; she was hugged by Zayn. It took me a couple of minutes to realise who the people that the nurse was talking about were, but I finally acknowledged that they were the parents of Ibrahim. Were.
Chloe's P.O.V
I didn't expect it to be this bad. I only wanted to create a small fire in the garden, you know, harmless to them. I thought they'd have a smoke detector, which would wake them up. I tried my hardest to wash the fire out, when I saw that it was getting out of hand. However, a few spits of saliva and the contents of a 50ml water bottle wasn't exactly helping.
I ran away from the scene. The crime scene. I could get thrown in jail because of these actions, when my intentions were just to scare Zara. Sometimes, I would regret the day when I drowned her with a bucket of water. It was her fault anyway. Why did she move to Canada for a year?
As I sat down in my seat, I remembered why the seat next to me was empty. Zara was in Canada and would be staying there for a year.
"Listen up!" Miss Johnson clapped her hands. The heads of thirty eight year old children turned towards her. There was someone else standing next to her.
"This is Maisy Reed. She will be starting school here, so be nice to her," Miss Johnson scanned the classroom, realising there were no seats available apart from the one that Zara would be sitting on, "Maisy, sit there, next to Chloe. She will be your partner for this week." I hated that Miss Johnson didn't even confer with me of what would be happening.
As the day went on, Maisy followed me like a sheep, however, a lot of attention was being drawn to us.
"Her uncle is Brad Pitt," the children whispered. Wow, Brad Pitt? He was like, a billionaire.
"So, is your uncle Brad Pitt?" I asked, curious. She nodded her head. I decided that I should be best friends with her and forget about Zara.
Maisy taught me how to bully people, and that people should know who was in charge. After a few questions about best friends, she told me that Zara would betray me and make a best friend of her own, in Canada. If Zara could do that to me, I could do that to her.
"Do you want to be best friends?" I asked, linking arms with her.
"Sure!" she replied. I didn't know how, but Alyssa and Roxy became our best friends too. We all made a pact that we would bully Zara because she betrayed us. I was brilliant for coming up with this idea.
I was pretty happy with the idea of bullying Zara. I felt powerful and superior. I was the leader, as Alyssa and Maisy were less mean to her. Oh well, their loss.
But now, I had a small feeling of guilt.
