I'M SO SORRY!
READ THIS NOTE:
Okay, so hey guys. I'm back from the dead! Yay! I know ... I'm an ass =_= If you want to read my excuse, it will be at the end of this chapter but right now YOU HAVE TO READ THIS NOTE! I am NOT going to cancel Upside Down. I have been through too much bullshit in the process of making it and will not give up.
But to avoid shit like this (not updating for MONTHS) I want to ask if you guys think it would be fine for me to keep updating even if you never know when I will update or if ya'll want to wait for me to finish the book and upload all the new chapters? Please answer because if you don't answer I will just wait until I finished the book and I really want to know what ya'll think.

Chapter 40
Ma'am : Dora :: Emerson : Manly
"Emerson?" A soft voice whispered in my ear. "Emerson, wake up. Come on, it's time for you to get up."
I groan, trying to turn to my side so I wasn't facing the voice but for some reason I couldn't move so I just stayed where I was. "But Mom, I don't wanna ..." I whined.
"Come on, Emerson, it's time for your shot."
What?
My eyes snapped opened in a flash to see Dr. Trodden's face hovering close to mine with a little smile she had pulled up the from corners of her mouth. "Good you're awake, finally."
Oh, it's just Dr. Trodden. I let out a breath of relief looking at her. "Wow, I just had the strangest ... and most terrifying dream ever," I told her as I tried remembering why I was at the clinic at the first place.
Dr. Trodden chuckled, turning around from the counter she was at with a syringe in her hand. "Oh Emerson, dear, ... couldn't have been a dream," She laughed.
I looked at her in confusion, wondering why she was coming at me with a syringe full of something. "Yeah, I guess it would be more of a nightmare." I chuckled humorlessly. "Hey, what are you doing?"
She only gave me a smirk, ignoring my question with her eyes gleaming as she lined up the needle with a vein in my arm. "No, Emerson, ... to be more precise it would be called," she countered, completely ignoring my question as she swiftly stabbed the needle in my arm and whispered in my ear. "Reality."
Then, like a flash of lightning everything came rushing back to me, hitting me like a Jag speeding a hundred miles per hour.
Captured, I was captured! They had Kriss! And ... and Dr. Trodden was helping them! She was helping them!
I struggled, trying to get up and get the needle out of my arm but I only then realized I had been strapped down to a metal table. The most damage I was doing was slightly shaking the table. "Let me go! Let me go!"
"Oh, I'm sorry, Emerson." Dr. Trodden gave me a smile as if she wasn't sorry at all as she pulled off her rubber gloves with two loud snaps. "Now we're going to be heading to the Reconditioning Room. The Ma'am has requested your presence."
