Tris' POV

My feet have lead me to a beach. I'm not really sure what beach, but it's a beach. The sand slips between my toes, and I listen to the crashing of the waves. It's so relaxing. It almost distracts me from what happened.

Almost.

I look around the beach, it's pretty empty. There are a few people, but not many. Not like the beach that the hotel is on.

I don't really know what to do now that I don't have anything on me. I guess all I have to do is just sit here and watch the waves.

"HEY!" Someone calls walking towards me. I look behind me, because first, I don't know anybody, so they can't be calling for me. And second, have you ever been in a situation where you think someone is yelling to you, but in reality they're calling to someone behind you? It's one of the most awkward things to ever happen.

"YOU!" The girl yells again getting a little closer. I point to myself just to make sure. "YES YOU! COME HERE!"

I jog over to the medium height brown skin girl.

"Hey babe, you look down." She says.

"Uh-" How am I supposed to respond to that?

"Oh sorry. My name is Taylor." She says holding her hand out. I sort of shake it, you know, I'm awkward at these kind of things because I was Abnegation. "Abnegation." She says.

"Excuse me?"

"You're abnegation. Am I wrong?"

"Actually you are. I'm Dauntless." I state matter-of-factly.

"Ah, so you must've been Abnegation born."

I look to behind her, "Yeah."

"I knew it." She says smiling proudly to herself.

"Look, Taylor, not to sound rude or anything, but what do you want from me?"

"Well me and my friends just kinda noticed you all alone over here, and were wondering if you wanted to come chill with us."

"Uh, no tha-"

Actually Tris, this could be a good thing. They could at least keep you company until things calm down with your old friends I guess. And who knows, maybe they'll still want to be your friends after you've made up with your old friends. If we make up.

"On second thought, sure." I say.

"Cool. Follow me."

We both jog back to her friends.

"Found a straggler." She says. "This is...I actually didn't catch your name."

"Uh Tris. My name is Tris." I look around the small circle and see a face I recognize. "Marley?"

"Tris from the table?" She questions.

"That's me."

"So y'all know eachother?" A brown skin guy asks.

"No, James," she starts, "She used mind reading to guess my name. Dumbass." She rolls her eyes.

"Look, bit-" James starts.

"Hey, hey, hey, we have company around." Taylor says. "Why don't we introduce ourselves, and Tris you can sit if you want."

"Thanks, and I know everyone except for him." I say pointing at a very tall muscular guy. He's so hot, in all honesty.

"My name is, Bartholomew." He says with a straight face.

I can't help, but snicker. Come on, Bartholomew is a very funny name, admit it.
