Always start over

Ever since i left

Finally the baby is out. It's a girl. Her name is Laura . I got the notice that Mom is coming in a few hours to see the baby and i. Jesse is sitting next to me on a chair next to the hospital bed.
He smiled slightly as tears began to flood my eyes.
"She's beautiful" I cried as Jesse kisses my forehead .
Shelby opens the door and quickly walks to me and starts to cry.
"She's so cute" Shelby said as I smiled. "Rachel I'm so proud of you"
"Thank you mom"
"May I" Shelby asked as I nodded and gave her the baby.
"Wow....she's you" Shelby stuttered.
"You really think so"I questioned as Shelby nodded.
" I know so"
After a few days of resting we all went out with the baby to go eat.
"Laura look over here" Shelby said as the baby looked at Shelby and smiled.
"I'm so glad you came to visit again, mom" I said as Shelby smiled.
"Well, I will always come when you need me" Shelby said as I smiled slightly.
"Mom I have a question" I said as I looked at Shelby seriously.
"Please, I didn't come here to have a serious talk Rachel" Shelby looked down.
"Mom I need to know if you are okay. Are you still with Will or not?" I asked as Shelby got up and left the restaurant. I looked at Jesse and sighed.
"Why did you have to ask her that Rachel, we were all having such a good day" Jesse said as I grabbed the baby and walked to the car where Shelby was waiting out of. Jesse followed.
"Jesse get in the car and here's the baby" I said as I gave Laura to him. Once Jesse was in the car with the baby, I looked into Shelby's eyes.
"What is happening mom, ever since I left, you have been so secretive about what's happening in your life. You never talk about it, it's like you think my life is more important then yours"
"Thats what it feels like to me" Shelby said as she looked down.
"What did Will leave you, what the hell is going on" I asked angrily as Shelby started to tear up.
"Will and I had an argument okay!! He left and never ever came back!" Shelby cried as I looked at her surprised.
"Why didn't you tell me this!?!"
"Because you were having a baby at the time, I also didn't think it was as important."
"Mom i.. I should be back with you. I'll move there.. How about that" I said as Shelby shook her head no.
"No NO Rachel!We all have our own life's to deal with... You already have someone important that you have to love and keep happy forever. Forget about me Rachel I'll be fine" Shelby said as I got quiet. I walked towards her and hugged her tight.
