P.S. Don't worry, everything will work out in the end lol 😂Allison thought the best thing for her was to just take a walk and cool off. So, she didn't try to flag down a cab or anything, to go straight home.
She tried her best to weave through the busy sidewalks, really not wanting to cry here, in front of these people she didn't even know. She was inclined to call Kelly, her best friend, and try to talk to her about it, but knew that she wouldn't receive much help in return. Kelly always seemed too preoccupied with herself. So, Allison just continued to make her way through the crowds in the direction of her home.
She didn't know what to do.
-----
Kelly had had a rough night. She and Jack had broken up earlier in the day and she was a mess. She couldn't quite remember when she started drinking but she started losing count after her fourth drink.
She desperately wanted to talk to Allison; she needed her best friend right now. She wasn't sure how her longtime friend would react since she was friends with both Jack and Kelly, but Kelly hoped she'd be there to help her pick up her pieces.
She'd been calling her all evening but she wasn't picking up. Sending texts, but not receiving any replies. Kelly was getting anxious, she couldn't be alone any more, and she was a mess. Why was it that whenever Alli had a problem Kelly always helped her, but when it was the other way around it seemed like Allison was nonexistent? Maybe it was the alcohol talking, whatever it was, Kelly felt the need to see her friend immediately. So, after three failed attempts, she finally was able to hail a cab outside of the bar she was in.
"Hello?" Kelly questioned, knocking obnoxiously on Allison's apartment door, "Open the doooooor, I need to talk to you." She demanded to the piece of wood in front of her.
After a few minutes she figured she wasn't home and that she must at Jimmy's house. Why wouldn't she be? They were always together, and sometimes, Kelly felt like Allison completely forgot that she existed.
In her intoxicated haze, she dragged herself back into another cab and started heading over to Jimmy's house. She didn't know if she was just mad that Allison seemed to always be ignoring her or if she just wanted to talk to her. But, she was already at Jimmy's house and there was no turning back now.
"Hey!" Kelly yelled, pounding the door viciously with her fists, "I need to talk to you!"
"Kelly?" Jimmy questioned, opening the door to reveal his unexpected house guest, "If she sent you here, I really don't want to hear it." He mumbled, taking a deep breath before closing his eyes for a moment.
"What?" Kelly asked, confused. She didn't bother waiting for a response and walked right into Jimmy's house, "Is Allison here, I need to, uh, I gotta she, uh, yeah." She tried to explain, slurring her words.
"She's not here," Jimmy shook his head, "We got into a fight and then she left."
"Oh," Kelly whispered with disappointment.
"Are you okay?" Jimmy asked, finally realizing the not so good shape that Kelly was in.
"Me and Jack broke up." She smiled sheepishly, "Yay, right?"
"Aw, man, I'm so sorry." He frowned
"It's whatever," She sighed, taking a seat on his couch, "Do you have beer?" she asked
"You want beer?" He laughed
"Yeah, I'd like to forget about this day," She said, closing her eyes, "If you know what I mean."
"Yeah," he shrugged, "I know." He agreed, "Alright, well I'll go get something, hold on." He chuckled.
Kelly watched him walk away and that's when she realized how attractive he was. She wasn't sure if it was the alcohol talking or the anger she was feeling towards Allison but she was definitely seeing Jimmy in a whole new light.
The two started drinking with each other, making small talk and an hour or two had passed when Kelly suddenly asked, "So what happened with you and Allison?"
"She like," Jimmy started to explain, "doesn't know how to be in a relationship." He shrugged, finishing his fifth beer. He wasn't sure what it was, because he wasn't usually a big drinker, but tonight he didn't care about his alcohol intake.
"Seriously!" Kelly agreed, raising her arms up, "that's how I feel except about our friendship." She shook her head, "She's so dysfunctional she doesn't know how to be there when I need stuff." She said, laying her head on Jimmy's shoulder.
"She walks away from all of her, our, problems," he started, "she forgets there are two people in a relationship. Just makes me angry, you know?"
"Mhm," she agreed, using her free hand to start rubbing Jimmy's back softly.
"Whatever." Jimmy whispered closing his eyes. He'd drank too much and was starting to feel it, getting drowsy and a little dizzy/
Suddenly, Kelly lifted up her head from his shoulder and inched closer to him, looking deep into his eyes. Jimmy knew what was forthcoming; he could see it in her tipsy eyes but he felt like he couldn't move. Kelly moved her lips right in front of his, he could feel her arms begin to snake around his neck. Before he could do anything else, Kelly closed the gap and started kissing him. And, he didn't stop it, at first.
"Whoa," Jimmy said, slightly pulling her off of him, "I shouldn't um...I'm drunk."
"Shh," Kelly shushed him, bringing her hands under his shirt and tugging it upwards, "It's okay, I am too."

Allison made her way home hours later, I'd been a long day and she needed to finish packing and get some sleep. Regardless of what was going on with Jimmy, she still had to leave tomorrow morning and she needed to be ready.
She sloppily threw the rest of her clothes in her bag and headed to take a quick shower. When she was finally done and was about to get into bed, she checked her phone to see ten missed calls and texts from Kelly. Although, Allison could see that Kelly had been in some kind of crisis, she knew it was too late to call back now. Kelly must've been asleep by now.
And Allison didn't want to disturb her friend.
