IMPORTANT: For some reason, when I changed the ending of this chapter on Wattpad it didn't update so it kept my original ending. THIS IS AN UPDATED CHAPTER 39, the wrong ending to this chapter was posted before.
As always, I don't own anything associated with the Bulls.
Jimmy woke up the next morning to his phone ringing. He saw Allison still sound asleep beside him and quickly grabbed the cellphone off of his nightstand to see it was his mom calling him, yet again. He'd been trying to keep their conversations short over the last few months, she was always asking about Allison and he didn't really know what else to tell her. She knew they had broken up, and why. But, she was always trying to stick herself in situations where she didn't belong, which was why Jimmy quickly declined her call.
Just as he was about to rest his head back on his pillow, he heard knocking at his front door. He quietly groaned and saw Alli stir a little bit in her sleep, so he tip toed out of the room and to the door.
"Why'd you decline my call?" Jimmy's Mother asked him, as he swung open the door and there she stood, shoving her phone in his face.
"Shhh," He whispered, trying to calm down his, much too loud, mother so that she wouldn't wake up Allison, "Are you crazy?" He asked, walking to join her outside and closing the door behind him.
"Excuse me?" She asked, "No matter how old you are, Jimmy, I am still your mother!"
"Look," Jimmy sighed, "Not that I don't love seeing you but why couldn't you tell me you were coming?"
"I tried." She said, waving her cell phone around, "You didn't pick up."
"Maybe you could've told me, I don't know, before you got here?" he said as a question, "This just isn't a good time, Mama." He shrugged.
"Why?" She questioned, "Who's in there?"
"Uh....no one." He lied
"You know I could always tell when you were lying, right?" She smirked
"Oh my god," Jimmy shook his head, "Allison is inside, okay. Are you happy now?"
"Allison!" His mother beamed, "You guys made up?" She smiled, trying to push past Jimmy to get inside.
"Wait," he said, continuing to guard the door, "No, we're not it's not..." He sighed, "I don't really think we ever will be, so you gotta let it go."
"I have to let it go?" She asked, "You're the one who blew up one of the best things that's happened to you!" she scolded.
"Keep your voice down!" Jimmy whispered, "She's sleeping!"
"Why is she here?" She asked, hands on her hips, "She's a nice girl Jimmy, you know better."
"Mom," He whined, "She...just needed a friend last night. Nothing happened...and you know what this isn't any of your business. Why should I be telling this stuff to my mom and...hey!" Jimmy rambled as his mom used this as an opportunity to make her way inside.
"Allison!" She smiled, as she saw, a just waking up, Allison walking out of Jimmy's room.
"Oh," Allison began, groggily, "Hello?"
"What the hell happened to your eye, hunny?" She asked, as she quickly approached Allison and began examining her eye.
"It's...a long story." Allison sighed. She was caught a little off guard to wake up to Jimmy's mom the first thing in the morning, "Nothing I won't be able to handle."
"Hmm." Jimmy's Mom said, unconvinced, "Well I know you could handle it, sweetie, but you shouldn't have to. I'll be here if you need somethin. Even if you two aren't an item anymore..." She sighed
