District 9
Sythia's hard gaze snapped to the person beside her. Her fierce, blood-red glare made her shuffle back in surprise. The vampire bat mutant wasn't the social type of person, and she was usually quiet and often kept to herself.
She flapped her wings once, and let out a small snort. Her long black hair lay on her shoulders as she waited for the event to start.
Brushing his hand through his blonde hair, Chase glanced over to the stage. He feared that he would get Reaped for the Hunger Games, and hoped that it would never happen.
He touched his ram horns and gripped them tightly.
A muscular rhino mutant trudged his way up onto the podium. He wore a green vest and camouflage pants. A pair of golden shoulder armor were attached to his shoulders, with three spikes on each piece.
"Today, I going to say tribute of this year Games of Hunger, where the other people will pop your head like blueberry. I is Rocksteady. Let us begin, da?"
He stomped over, digging his hand into the glass bowl.
"Dis year tributes for Games of Hunger are Sythia Blanchard and," he unfolds the other slip, "Chase Smith. Come up, children."
The boy's blue eyes widened slightly, then joined the vampire bat mutant on the podium.
"Dis year tribute for Ninth District are Sythia Blanchard and Chase Smith," Rocksteady announced. "May the odds be ever in your favor."

District 10
Michelangelo Evans held his pet cat in his arms. He stroked her lightly, smiling slightly. "Now, now. Don't freak out if I get picked, okay?" he reminded her.
The turtle mutant wore an orange mask that brought out the color of his baby blue eyes. His cat, whose name had been Ice Cream Kitty, let out a long meow.
At the same time, a girl stood across from him, in the middle of her age group. Her blonde hair cascaded down her shoulders and she had clear blue eyes similar to Michelangelo's.
Sky Morningstar looked to the stage, waiting for the announcer to arrive.
Finally, the announcer went up the stage. But the strange thing was, that he wasn't a mutant nor was he a human. He was a pink-skinned alien with six tentacles. The alien sat in a exosuit. He had battle scars that went across his face, a missing tentacle which was replaced with a prosthetic claw, and a missing eye, which was replaced with a cyberoptic eyepiece.
"Hello, everybody!" it screamed into the microphone, "My name is Kraang Subprime. I am here to choose the tributes that will be participating in this year's Hunger Games!" Its voice was unnaturally high.
"Alright, let's see who's first," it said in a lower voice. Kraang Subprime pulled a lever, and the exosuit stomped over to the glass ball. Pulling out two slips of paper with its thin, claw like fingers, it read the names out.
"Michelangelo Evans!" the alien shrieked.
The turtle mutant jumped a little, but quietly kissed his pet's head. Putting her down gently on the floor, he walked towards the stage, with everyone's eyes trained on him. Ice Cream Kitty let out a soft whimper.
"And the next tribute is Sky Morningstar!" it announced.
Sky's heart sank. Pursing her lips, she slowly walked towards the podium.
"Come on up, girly! We don't have all day," Kraang Subprime snapped, and Sky quickened her pace.
After she stood on the on the platform, the alien screamed, "This year's tributes from District 10 are Michelangelo Evans and Sky Morningstar! May the odds be ever in your favor."

District 11
Caravina and Wesley made their way to the crowd, where everybody was waiting for the Reaping ceremony to start.
The dragon mutant and the deer mutant split apart, heading for their age groups.
When they settled in with their groups, a lean Chinese-American man walked onto the stage. The man wore a half-opened shirt, and his shades were perched on his nose. He also had a gold medallion around his neck and spiky rings. Various tattoos covered his body as well.
"Greetings, District 11," he said into the microphone. His voice had an obvious Chinese accent to it. "I am Hun. It is my duty to announce the tributes from District 11 for the 57th Hunger Games. Let us begin, shall we?"
Hun walked over to the glass ball and reached his hand in. Grasping two slips of paper, he unfolded the first slip.
The dragon mutant prayed that it wouldn't be her. She was all her adoptive mother had, and she needed her. Shutting her eyes tightly, she hoped that her name wasn't on the slip. But it seemed like her wish didn't come true.
"Caravina Romano."
Her heart felt as if it had been shattered into a million pieces. She walked up to the stage, the whole District's gaze on her.
"No, wait! I volunteer as tribute!" A familiar voice called out. It was Wesley.
"And what is your name, young man?" Hun asked.
"Wesley Prescott," he answered politely.
What are you doing? Caravina mouthed to him. Wesley ignored her.
Hun unfolded the other piece of paper. "That's interesting," he muttered. "You name is on the other slip. Come up, boy."
Wesley went up the steps to the stage and stood on the other side of Hun.
"The tributes from District 11 for this year's Hunger Games are Caravina Romano and Wesley Prescott," he announced. "May the odds be ever in your favor."
The two chosen mutants shot side glances at each other uneasily.

District 12
A red masked mutant turtle put his pet turtle on a bench. "Stay here, Spike," he whispered, then ran towards the crowd of citizens that were gathered around the podium.
A raccoon mutant padded to her age group. She had two raccoon tails and a black mask over her eyes. Her long brown hair fell loosely at her shoulders as she waited for the event to begin.
A wrinkly man wearing a large hat and a cloak walked to the microphone. He tapped it to test it, and began to speak.
"Hello, District 12. My name is Victor Falco, and I am here to announce the tributes for this year's Hunger Games," he spoke slowly, his scratchy voice making some citizens wince in disgust.
Shuffling over to the glass bowl, he drifted his seemingly rotten hand in and lifted two slips of paper out.
Clearing his throat, he announced the first name. "Raphael Russet."
The red masked turtle's breath hitched in his throat, and he walked towards the podium, standing beside the gruesome figure.
Unfolding the next slip of paper, Victor Falco announced the next name. "Alexandria Woods."
The raccoon mutant's eyes widened, and she suddenly felt light-headed. Her vision blurred, and she stumbled towards the stage.
Victor Falco smiles, showing his rotten teeth. "The tributes for this year's Hunger Games are Raphael Russet and Alexandria Woods. May the odds be ever in your favor."
