Destiny soared across the sky as she scanned around the mountains for anything dangerous to her and her team. Finding nothing, she glided back towards Leonardo, Hazel, and Donatello.

Hazel had recently joined their alliance, since Donatello had gained her trust.

“It’s safe,” the wolf-raven reported. “I haven’t encountered anything.”

“Perfect. We’ll make our camp in the mountains. No one would find us there,” Leonardo declared.

They started to climb the mountain, but Donatello stopped them.

“Wait. How will we survive if we are so far from the source of food, and it’s hard to survive up there. The temperature of the air gets lower when we go higher,” the intelligent turtle pointed out.

“Then where should we go?” Hazel wondered.

Donatello shrugged. “I’m not sure. Somewhere safe, hopefully somewhere that has a source of water."

Leonardo nodded in agreement. “Let’s go this way,” he said, starting to walk to his left. “We’ll destroy anything that gets in our way. Working together as a team.”

A determined look crossed the purple clad turtle’s face. “Alright. Let’s go. We wouldn’t want to get lost at night, now would we?”

They set off immediately. As they were running, they descended into a cold, brumal area. They squinted as they tried to look at a slightly shiny area on the ground. Lumps of snow were gathered at the edges of the shiny area, and they walked closer to take a look. A harsh breeze was blowing against them, making their eyes feel uncomfortable.

"It's a frozen pond!" Destiny exclaimed, running forward and plunging her machete at the ice. The ice cracked, and to their delight, ice cold water was underneath.

"Yes!" Leonardo smiled, picking up his canteen and filling it up. The others did the same and took a long drink.

"Let's set up our camp here," Leonardo said, walking over to a space behind the trees. The trees prevented most of the cold air from rushing into their camp.

"Now let's try to find some food," Donatello declared. "I'll stay back and try to make a fire wih Hazel."

"I'll go," Leonardo volunteered, unsheathing his katanas.

"I'll hunt. Be careful out there, Leo!" Destiny called, bolting off in the other direction.

Leonardo waved back, dashing into the foresty area that seperated the five sectors. He and his group had went from sector to sector, and found out this pattern. They were currently in the North sector, or the wintry area. The mountain area was the East sector, which was the one that they had just come from. The West sector was the one with the broken city, and the South Sector had the dense forests and the trees. The desert area with the Cornucopia, they had called it the Centre Sector.

Leonardo spotted sudden movement in the trees. He whirled around, his katana blades reflecting the sunlight.

Then he heard a crack. Eyes and ears alert, he tried to find the source of the sound. Then another crack. What if it was another tribute? A final crack emitted throughout the air. It was much louder this time. Something solid fell to the ground with a large thump, and it split open. A beehive! Leonardo looked up, just in time to see a sleek black tail disappearing among the treetops.

Leonardo ran. He ran as fast as he could, bolting for the camp. He had to warn the others. The tracker jackers were gaining on him, and he swerved right and left, trying to lose them in the trees. But the swarms didn't stop, the kept on going.

Some of the tracker jackers were close enough to sting Leonardo, and he had gotten quite a few stings. He winced at the pain. He was getting closer to the camp. This was his one and only chance, it was now or never.

"You guys!" Leonardo shouted and paused to take a breath, "Run!"

Hazel whipped around. Seeing him running for his life, she ditched her pile of fruit at her feet and started to run as well.

"Donnie! Take Destiny and get outta here!" Leonardo ordered.

"But what about you?" Destiny and Donatello said simultaneously.

Leonardo paused. "I'll be fine."

"But you're not going to be!" Destiny yelled.

"Just go! Take it as my final order as leader!"

With that, Destiny scooped up the purple masked turtle and flew off, tears forming in both of their eyes.

They watched from a distance as Leonardo guided the girl as they jumped into the frozen pond. The tracker jackers shot into the ice cold water, drowning themselves.

"C'mon. We can get our revenge on whoever dropped that tracker jacker nest," Donatello told the wolf-raven assuringly. "I know we will."

Hazel broke the surface of the waer, soaked and shivering. She waited at the side for blue clad turtle to emerge from the water. He did, eventually, and the puffy haired girl tried shaking him, telling him to wake up, she had even tried to perform CPR for him, but no avail. The only response she got was the boom from a cannon.

At this, Hazel burst into tears, sobbing as she held onto Leonardo's lifeless hand.

Tears started forming in Destiny's eyes, and she blinked them away quickly as she bit her lip.

"It's okay to cry," Donatello said. "Crying is not a sign of weakness. It's a way of showing sadness."

She nodded and broke down, clutching the intelligent turtle's arm tightly.

"L-Let's go b-back for her," Destiny stuttered, wiping away her tears. Donatello nodded in agreement.

The girl had started to walk away, leaving Leonardo's body to be picked up by the hovercraft.

"Hazel!" Donatello called as they burst out of the bushes.

Hazel looked around and ran to them, her arms wrapped around the two mutants tightly.

"I'm so glad that you're alive!" she exclaimed.

"We are too," Donatello replied. "Now come on, let's get through this together."
