Synopsis: The reader gets in an argument with Henry and he then finds out that you were in a serious accident.
Y/N
"So you're saying I can't go out with my friends now?" he asked with an attitude.
We were fighting, again. And this time I had all the reasons to be mad at him. When I entered Granny's, Ruby was trying to distract me from something and trying to make me leave the small diner. That was until I looked behind me, and there was Henry sitting next to Violet talking, laughing, and holding hands.
"Stop twisting my words for God's sake! I never said that you couldn't go out with your friends!" I exclaimed, my voice getting higher with every word that left my mouth.
"You just asked me why I was talking to Violet. God! Sometimes you can be so annoying and ridiculous."
"So now your ex is your friend. That's what you're saying."
"I can be friends with whoever I want. Stop acting like my mom! I'm allowed to do whatever I want, and hang out with whoever I want."
"Can't you see?! She's trying to get you back, being all flirty and stuff. She's trying to make us break up! And so far it's working"
"Maybe that's what we should. We need to take a break from each other." he said trying to stay calm.
"Whatever, have fun with that little bitch." After those words left my mouth, I grabbed my phone and put on my shoes as quickly as I could. I opened the house's door and walked away from what was a beautiful relationship, that everyone thought was going to last forever.
I opened my car's door and started driving with no destination. It's true, when they say that you shouldn't drive while you're mad or sad. I didn't notice that once I turned left, there was a truck coming in my direction, right in front of me. The last thing I remember seeing, was Henry's name on my phone that was sitting on the passenger's seat. Then, i kept seeing black spots until everything went black.
Henry's POV:
It's 5pm, four hours after our fight and I guess you can say, our break up. I don't know what I was thinking, I was so mad at the fact that she thought I would replace her or worse, cheat on her. I was desperate, calling her number non-stop. I was coming to the conclusion that she was either ignoring me or something bad happened to her.
I never knew exactly what the saying: "You never know what you have until it's gone" until this very moment.
Trying to calm myself, I went to the couch where I turned on the TV and started watching the news. It was somehow calming me, until there was this headline that read "17 year old gitl got hit by a truck at 5th Avenue". I turned up the volume, scared that it was about Y/N.
My worst fear turned into reality. When they showed a video of the truck collapsing on top of the car, I realized it wasn't any car, it belonged to Y/N.
Panting, I grabbed my coat and left the house, sealing the door shut. I began running as fast as I can, going to the nearest hospital. Car drivers were shouting at me from their windows but I could care less at a moment like this. I hit tons of people because of my rapid speed, but I had no time to apologize.
When I finally arrived at the hospital, out of breath, I ran to the secretary's desk. I was about to say her name, when I saw doctors hurrying into a room with a body on top of one of those things they use to move bodies around. I saw her now pale, white skin.
Right after they got the body into the room I began to walk to the room until I was stopped by a nurse, it was Ara, one of the nurses that took care of me when I was in the hospital 6 years ago.
"Henry you can't you in there."
"That's my girlfriend, I need to see her."
"They are about to operate her. I promise everything will be alright." she said while she lead me to a chair.
I sat down as she was leaving. Turning my head to the side, I saw my family rushing towards me.
"Henry!" said my mom.
"We heard about the news." stated Hook.
"How are you feeling?" said grandma.
"It's all my fault, if I didn't go out and talk with Violet, everything would've been okay. We would be lying on the couch, she would be safely wrapped around my arms. It's all my fault!" I exclaimed, letting a few tears slip out of my eyes.
They tried to make me feel better, but nothing was working. It wasn't until 2 hours later when the doctor came out of the room calling out Y/N's name.
I stood up as fast as I could and went to open the door. I had no idea what to expect, I was so nervous my hands were shaking. When I entered the room, I saw something I knew I would never forget. Her body was on top of the bed. Some color returned to her face since the last time I saw her. Her body was connected to so many cables, some of them feeding her. My heart shattered at the view, knowing that most of those cables were keeping her alive because she had no more energy left inside of her body.
I walked up to her bed, and sat down in the chair besides you. I grabbed her cold hands and lightly pecked them with my lips. I saw something wet hit her palm, realising that it was my tears. I kept my head down, praying to God that you were okay and alive.
"H-henry?" I heard her beautiful voice slightly cracking.
"Y/N. Oh my God! You're alive!" Her lips turned upward, making the smile that made me fell in love with her in the first place. "I'm so sorry, I promise I will always be there for you, keeping you safe and I swear I will stop acting like a complete idiot. But please, love me again."
"I never stopped." she said with a few tears in her beautiful hazel eyes.
Right after I heard those words, I leaned in and kissed her soft, pink lips that I missed so much.
