Synopsis: The reader writes on her arm with a sharpie since whatever mark you get on your skin your soulmate gets it too.

A few years ago, I heard one of the girls in my class saying that if you wrote something in your arm, your soulmate would get it in their arm as well.

Like everyone else, I was supposed to do my homework. Instead out of boredom, I grabbed a black sharpie and began drawing on a piece of paper.

With some music in the background, I spent about 2 hours drawing on the same paper when I turned to my arm. I wrote "Hello" in the cutest font I could do.

Looking at the time, I decided to continue the homework that was due tomorrow.

In the middle of my search, I felt something sting my arm. Letting a small whine out, I looked at my arm and saw something written on it, apart from the hello I wrote.

I freaked out, letting out a small scream.
Thinking back at the rumor I thought was fake, I realized maybe I was wrong.

After thinking about it for an amount of time, I wrote back on my arm.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"Who are YOU?"

"I asked you first."

"Ugh my name is Jared."

"I'm Y/N."

"Can you explain to me how the hell this is possible?"

"Don't ask me! I just wrote a simple hello and you replied!"

"Probably because out of nowhere I got a mark in my forearm!"

"Yeah, that's true. I got it as well."

"So I guess we're talking through our arms now." he wrote back.

"I guess so."

We talked for hours, non stop. He was actually a quite funny guy and we found out that we actually live close to each other.

"This is going to be a pain in the ass to take off."

"Ugh don't remind me." he answered.

That's how my night ended, I can assure you that not all rumors are fake. This one got me what used to be my best friend and now my boyfriend.
