A new day began and I got ready for school, dreading every second of it. After I was done messing with my hair, I took my bag, threw it over my shoulder and took the stairs leading me to the lower level.

A quick "hello" and goodbye" was shared between my parents and I before I reached the front door, leaving the property.

I walked for a couple of minutes just until the bus stop stood in front of me. I soon proceeded to take my phone out from my pocket and used it, entertaining myself while waiting for the bus to arrive.

As soon as it arrived, I placed my phone back into my pocket and climbed inside the vehicle. Not long after I stepped inside, I felt everyone's gazes on me. Not admiring me or anything like that, instead doing the complete opposite: judging me and looking through me as if I was a sheet of glass.

I hurried to my usual seat in the back and arranged all of my stuff before sitting down. My chin, out of custom, rested on my palm as I look out the window at my right. Blurs of green trees and houses were seen.

Suddenly, what used to be cement pavements turned into a wide green land. What used to be houses and trees became a park full of swings and slides.

Somehow, I was drawn into a parallel universe where two small children stood in front of me; a boy and a girl. Both holding each other's hands tight, as if they were scared of ever letting go.

The slightly taller boy pointed with his tiny fingers at a building in front of them. Out of instinct and curiosity, the girl turned her head towards the direction and began searching for what the boy thought was worth taking a look at.

At the same time, the boy took advantage of her being distracted and steadily reached down to the grass filled with colors. Cautiously, he took one of the flowers into his hands and quickly looked back up, only to be met with the girl's confused expressions.

"For you." the brunette said, his arms stretched out towards his companion, holding the flower. A slight tint of pink rose onto the girl's cheeks as she took the flower in between her tiny hands, a small grin display on her delicate face.

"Thank you Jared." the girl said as the flashback soon ended. The beautiful park becoming once again to what it actually was, pavementand houses.

A small tear ran down my face, bringing me back to reality as I quickly wiped it away with the back of my palm, not wanting anyone to notice. I let out a deep yet shaky breath as I tried to calm down, reminding myself of the terrible reality.

Soon enough, we were in front of the big buildings where I would be spending the next eight hours in. I mentally prepared myself as I stood up from my seat and began to walk to the exit, realizing that I was the last one on the bus.
