Synopsis: The reader finds out that she was a bet.

Y/N

"Here's the $50 that I owe you from the bet." I stopped right in my tracks when I heard one of Henry's friends, Jake say.

I then hid behind the wall separating me from the living room where I assumed Henry was in.

I peeked a little, only to see what they were doing exactly. I managed to catch Henry extending his hand to accept the money with a little "thanks".

"I actually thought you wouldn't get Y/N to fall for you. Good job there Henry."

I felt my heart stop for a second. Not wanting to believe what my ears just heard. I felt tears wanting to come and a loud sob about to come out from my lips if it weren't for the fact that I covered my mouth with my hand.

Once again, I hid behind the wall and listened closely to their conversation, wishing that what they just said was all a mistake.

"Yeah." I heard Henry confirm my assumptions.

I then took five seconds to calm down before walking up to them.

"So now I'm worth 50 dollars. Cute." I said sarcastically while grabbing my jacket and walking towards the door.

"Y/N! Hold on! Let me explain!" he shouted trying to get my attention while running up to me and closing the door which I was going to use to leave for good.

"What is there to explain! I was a bet. I never mattered to you, it's done." I replied, trying to open the door but failing miserably.

"You need to understand -"

"Stop! Let me go, stop all the lies." I said, trying to open the door once again, this time successfully. I walked out and slammed the door shut.

I instantly began receiving text messages from him, asking me to come back. I turned off my phone and kept walking with no destination on mind.
