WARNING: THIS STORY IS RATED MATURE FOR A REASON. ENJOY.

"Remember he has a doctor's appointment this afternoon," Christine recalled to Caitlin while handing over baby Gustave slowly.

"Yes Madame," her maid responded swiftly, handling Gustave with extra care as they both looked at his sleepy face. Gustave had just woken up and still had a glazed look in his young eyes, his hand drifting towards his teething mouth as he sucked on his thumb, his eyes closing once more.

"He's a sleepy one this morning Madame, should I let him rest some more?" Caitlin inquired.

"Only for a little while or else he will be off schedule for the rest of the day," Christine responded, smiling as her hand gently grazed her sleepy boy's face.

Christine was going to miss her sunshine dearly for the two weeks they were to be gone in Monte Carlo but she knew this would be good for their marriage, having not been intimate since Gustave was known to be conceived. A small part of her was grateful for the break but now she had no excuse, her body almost back to how it was prior to the conception. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she saw her son fall back asleep in her maid's arms, his adorable features at peace from the lack of attention to his parent's departure. Raoul had just walked out then, placing a gentle kiss on his sleeping son's forehead as he then held out his elbow, waiting to escort his wife to the carriage. She took his elbow slowly, turning back to watch as Caitlin and Gustave started to get smaller by distance. Her heart broke as she was then lifted into the carriage, sealing her fate as the house now became distant, camouflaged by the various other lands and houses that surrounded the area. She was not going to see her son for a long time and the thought saddened her. Erik would not have made her leave him home if she was not ready, especially since he had a hard time trusting others.

A soft sigh escaped her lips once more, looking out the window as she spotted several homes much grander then her own. Another flashback reminded her of the life she could have had if he had stayed with her that blissful night. She had planned on professing her love to him as soon as she awoke, the vision dancing in her mind as she dreamt of the life they could have had. Two boys and a little girl, all of them mixed with each of Erik's and her personality and looks. None of them were deformed and they all loved Erik exactly as he should be loved. They would be passionate with their love but appropriate for society and their children. A modest life on the countryside in a small little cottage with no servants but themselves; where music would fill the walls of the home each and every day. What a life she could have had if he had stayed with her.

"Is everything all right my dear?" Raoul asked, causing her mind to snap back to the fact she was in the carriage with him and not of her former lover.

She felt a cold liquid underneath her eye, causing her hand to wipe away the tear that had produced before him, "Yes my dear, just missing the boy."

"But we only just left him my songbird," Raoul retorted, reaching out to cup his beloved wife's face in his hands.

Her doe brown eyes gazed over to his blue ones, reminiscing the moment when he went into the sea and got himself soaked. She recalled the moment when her red scarf fluttered freely from her small neck and began floating in the gust from the wind. How quick he was to assure her everything would be okay, soaking himself in cooler temperatures as he fetched her most beloved scarf. He had returned it to her with a huge grin on his face, handing it every so carefully as she hugged him in sheer joy. The look he gave her then was the same look he was giving her now. Money did not change her honorable Raoul.
