I heard tales of my Uncle's childhood on Tatooine as a moisture farmer and my mom's life as a royal on Alderaan. It was interesting to see how they had come from such different backgrounds and were now so close. It was obvious that they enjoyed being together again, and I was happy to see her really smiling again.

My favorite story took place when Luke, Obi-Wan, Chewie and my Dad breaking my Mom out of the Death Star. It was hilarious to hear Luke talk about Leia's sassing them all out. Leia's face also morphed into a disgusted expression when discussing the garbage chute fiasco.

Uncle Luke also showed me his prosthetic hand, and I desperately hoped that the tradition of missing Skywalker hands would not continue through my generation. He talked about my grandfather Anakin with a longing look in his eyes as he clenched and unclenched his prosthetic unconsciously.

"Are force ghosts real? Could I somehow meet him or the other most powerful Jedi?" I said, wondering if I would ever get a glimpse of the legend.

"Kid, I am the most powerful Jedi ever. Don't ask me again," Luke said with a humored chuckle. "I'm just kidding, we could try. And by the way there are many Jedi before me that were much more powerful. I'm sure that they would love to meet you. And may I ask how you were trained? Your force presence is powerful, and your mind barriers are exceptionally strong."

"Well I was trained by Teria, as you may know. I was trained in mediation, physically, with most weapons, and in controlling the force with my mind. I've never used a lightsaber though." I said. My lack of experience with a true Jedi weapon was slightly embarrassing.

"Well, we might just have to take a little field trip soon. I know a place where the crystals that form the blade can be found, and Rey could also come along. She might appreciate her own weapon. I've found that it can have a great impact on a Padawan's performance"

We had finished eating the pasta dish and I picked up our dishes and placed the gold colored plates into the dishwasher. It was about 21 hours, and I was starting to feel tired.

"So we can train tomorrow, right?" I said hopefully, looking back at my mother and uncle.

"You certainly have one enthusiastic kid, don't you Leia? I don't think that she got that from you, unfortunetly. And yes, we can Amara. But, I have to say that if you want to be trained then you will have to call my Master. I know that it seems formal, but it is a good reminder of the relationship between a Padawan and teacher." My uncle threw the comment at my mom with a wink, and she laughed good-naturedly. A real laugh, not one of those polite giggles that she yielded when another general made a bad joke.

"Of course, Master. What time should I be ready?"

"Probably around 6. I would recommend starting a meditation session then, Rey and I will meet you outside of your apartment if you want. I need to find a place where the birds are slightly quieter first. You have no idea how obnoxious it can be to be meditating while hearing the same incessant squawk. I would strangle them if it wasn't against the code." The Jedi huffed.

I laughed as I went over to give my mom a hug. "Goodnight mom, I'll see you tomorrow. Have a good night!" I said.

"Ok goodnight."

"See you tomorrow Amara. Bright and early!" Master Luke said.

"Thank you, Master Luke. I look forward to it." I returned his smile and retreated into the warm evening air.
