We had been sitting on the ship for an hour, and we're just slowing down to exit hyperspace. Our flight had consisted of sitting around, attempting to make jokes, and playing around with the droid that shot lasers unexpectedly. Luke was piloting the Millennium Falcon, and we hadn't run into any trouble yet (an amazing feat after all of the things that usually go wrong when trips are taken on that ship)."Hey everyone, if you want to get your first glimpse of Coruscant come up front or head over to the windows by the gun man seats." Luke's voice echoed over the speakers.
We all walked to the front of the ship to take in the amazing sight.
"Whose idea was it to cover an entire planet with a city?" Finn wondered out loud.
Poe laughed, "Finn, you lived on a planet that was made of a weapon. I don't think that you should be talking."
"It is weird though that the planet dosent seem to suffer too much with the lack of wildlife. Maybe it's just awful at the surface but randomly has a good air quality. Or, wow think about this, someone built a machine that made the atmosphere into a hospital place!" Rey burst out excitedly.
We were finally entering the planet's atmosphere, and thank goodness for that, because I didn't think that I could take much more of these dumb conversations.
"Here's the landing platform, make sure that you search the surrounding areas for negative force signatures before we disembark please. I don't want any tragedies before we even enter a building." Uncle Luke said with a sigh.
I reached out as best as I could, but it was still slightly difficult for me. At once I felt so overwhelmed at all of the life forms that were living in just a square mile from us. I looked out the window with an expression near horror.
"How could you ever maintain security for someone here? There must be a million people in this building! I don't feel anything too awful, but there might be a mass murder a block away and I would never know!" I exclaimed. Rey nodded in agreement.
"I know that it's overwhelming at first, but most people's minds are not guarded well. If you reach out and find any heavily blocked presences, there could be cause for concern, but otherwise we are fine."
"Anyway, our blasters will keep you safe!" Poe said cockily.
"Let's get going, I don't want to be on board any longer than I have to." Finn said.
We walked down the ramp and onto the landing platform. I looked around and tried to take in the thousands of ships that flew by around us, and the hundreds of glass covered buildings. We walked towards the entarace to the building that the landing platform was connected to, we were already about 20 stories from the surface of the planet.
"Once we arrive on the correct floor we are going to investigate the sight of the senators murder. Look for any clues, and please try not to mess anything up." Luke pleaded.
"We'll do our best, no promises!" Poe said in an overly cheery voice for someone visiting a murder sight.
We stood inside a mirrored elevator and waited until we got to the 59th floor. Luke had to swipe a keycard into a slot in the side of the elevator to get access to the floor.
We walked into the senators ex-living arrangements. It was not the nightmare I expected at all. Nothing seemed to be out of place, only the bed in one of the rooms appeared strange. The blankets and sheets had been torn, almost to the point of being ripped off.
"Weird."
