Two Mermaids and One Direction

Chapter XIII

Brittany POV

"Wanna go for a swim?" I asked Louis.

"I'd love to, babe," he smiled.

I put my hands on my bare hips. I was in my pink and purple polka dot bikini. I smiled when I thought of swimming with Louis.

I dug through Cassie's closet for the deep diving set. When I found it, I tossed it to Lou.

"Ugh," He whined, but went back into the bathroom and changed. About 5 minutes later, he was ready.

"Let's go!" I smiled, linking arms with him. We got to the back of Cassie's beach house and stopped. Lou snaked an arm around my waist and I smiled.

We looked over at the pier not far away. Then I yelled "race you there!" and made a mad dash to the water. All of Louis' equipment slowed him down, so I, of course, won.

I reached the water first. I ran to where it would be up to my knees then waited for my tail to come. I sat down in the water so I wouldn't fall.

I felt my legs morph together and looked down at my lavender/violet tail. Louis ran over to me and sat down. "That will never get old." He said gesturing down to my tail.

I grabbed Louis' hand and dove under.

We swam along, looking at the reefs, coming back up after 10 minutes.

Then a dreaded sound filled my ears.

"What is that!?" a familiar voice yelled. Niall.

"It has Louis!" Zayn yelled.

"Shit, what do we do?" Harry screamed.

"What the hell is it?" Liam yelled.

Three girls came rushing out next. I gave them all death glares. I told them me and Lou would be swimming, and that they should be keeping the boys from seeing anything.

"No guys! I'm fine! Really! I-I just..." Louis tried but failed.

Shit.

"Guys! Calm yourselves! It's just me, Brittany! Stop acting like fucking lunatics!" I screamed over everybody else. They all looked at me, wide eyes.

"She's a...." Niall started.

"Mermaid." They all finished in sync.

It took a while, but I explained again. Everything.

"...So, I'm a level six mermaid- I can control the element of water, talk to some animals. And yeah."

"Wow," Harry said.

"Are there any more of you?" Zayn asked

"Well, yeah... but., um I... don't, um, know any..." I looked away.

At my words, Cassie averted her eyes and shrank back in seat.

"You're lying," Niall said.

"No-"

"One of you is also a mermaid." He looked at Cassie, Emily, and Lily.

"I know how we can find out..." Louis said.

"Louis, don't do-"

But before I could finish my sentence, he grabbed a water bottle out of the cooler next to us anod tried t throw some on Cassie, but with just a flick of her wrist, she moved it out of the way and made it evaporate into thin air.

"Guess you found your answer," she said.

"Anything else we need to know?" Zayn asked.

"Well I just became a level eight mermaid so I can do everything Brit can do plus, I can talk to even more sea creatures, control the element of air, and I'm working on fire. Oh and I just got the power to make myself invisible!"

"Okay then," Niall said.

"But you guys have to swear to never tell Lynn,"

"About that..." Liam started.

"What?" We all yelled.

"I broke up with her this morning..."

Liam POV

"I broke up with her this morning..."

 "Lynn this isn't working out. You just aren't for me. In the nicest way possible, I'm dumping you."

She stood there, dumbfounded.

"Liam Payne! I was the best thing that ever happened to you and you'd better reme,mber that! I will be back!" She slapped me then ran away.

That went well, I thought sarcastically.

and now I learn that Brittany and Cassie are mermaids? What a day,

Now, how do I get Lily to be mine?
