And They Came

Cassie P.O.V.


"Harry please... you have to get out now!" I beg. Harry tightens his grip on me.

"No. I'm not leaving you here." He stubbornly growls.

"Please! It isn't safe! I have my powers, humans are defenseless!"

"Cassie I am NOT leaving." Harry finally states.

"If you don't you're dead for sure. I'm not letting that happen. If you die, it's hurting me too. And the others. And basically the whole world will find mermaids!" I raise my voice and shake Harry off my arms. He runs his hands through his hair.

"You'll be fine?" He asks.

"I'll be fine." Harry kisses me and holds me close.

"I love you." I whisper.

"I love you." Harry pulls away and turns to the door.

Then he leaves.

Louis P.O.V.


"Lottie!" I shout throughout the house. I came to my house after Brittany kicked me out. Apparently, she can't get to Cassie in person because Cass is in the U.S. and any transportation going in or over water is not good right now. I need to find Lottie and hide with her and the other boys and girls. Minus Harry, he's in the U.S. as well.

"Lottie!" I repeat. Mum greets me with a panicked look on her face.

"Louis! Thank goodness. Have you seen Lottie? She just... disappeared on me. Teens these days..."

"Wait, you can't find Lottie?" She shakes her head. "Fuck." I kiss my mum on the cheek and speed out the door.

"Brittany!?" I yell into the phone. No answer.

"Brittany!!" I repeat.

"Not Brittany." A deep voice booms through my phone. I feel anger boiling inside me.

"Where the fuck is my girlfriend?!" I scream.

"Oh she's here. And who is this? Do you know either of the blondes?"

"I'm Brittany's boyfriend. Who are you??" I lower my voice.

"Ah, that's private information. But, I assume you're one of those pretty boys of the band One Direction?"

I roll my eyes.

"Look, you give me those girls back or else-"

"Or else what? You'll kill me with a stupid song? Humans are idiots."

I hear a scream in the background recognized as Lottie's. I shout in frustration.

"What are you doing to her?!"

"Nothing... yet. If you ever want to see any of these three again you'd better forget it. They're gone. And you're next. Get it into your head."

I hear glass breaking and one final scream from Lottie.


Then the line goes dead.
