Chapter XVI

Liam POV

Now?

No you idiot!

Now?

God, I'm having a fucking mental battle here!

I just don't know when I should ask Lily out. I know she has this Luke guy, but I just wanna try.

I sat on a kitchen stool thinking when Lily came down the stairs on the phone.

"Ok Luke... No!... Tell mom I said hi... Do all big brothers take this long to say goodbye?" She spoke

I snapped up.

Big brother?

Luke is her big brother?

Now's my chance. She hung up.

"Lily?" She whipped around to face me.

"That's my name. You got a problem punk?" I raised an eyebrow and she calmed down. "What's up Liam?"

"I just wanted to know if you'd go on a date with me tomorrow night?" Her face broke into a huge grin.

"Sure Liam!"

Brittany's POV

I was walking on the pier with Brittany when we stopped to get ice cream. "Two soft serve vanilla chocolate swirls in a cone please," Louis ordered while pulling out his wallet.

I paid $7.50 and left the store.

"Thanks Lou." I smiled at him. Louis wrapped his free arm around my shoulder as we walked to the ticket booth.

"Two unlimited wrist bands please." He said, eating some ice cream. We put on the bracelets and walked around, eating our ice cream.

"Louis, this ice cream reminds me of us going coning!" I remarked. He smiled and looked me in the eye.

"Hmm. That' what I was going for!" He yelled.

I giggled. When we finished our ice cream we went on a few rides, consisting of roller coasters, tea cups, and some other rides.

We sat down at a picnic table under a pavilion. Louis got up and ordered a huge calzone. He joined me at the table with the calzone and two cokes.

I was really enjoying this date. It was getting pretty dark out, and the lights were coming on, really bringing the pier to life. I clutched Louis' arm and smiled up at him.

"It's your birthday!" He whispered in my ear. I almost forgot! I checked the time on my phone to see it was 12:02. Time flies.

"I totally forgot." I whispered back.

We jumped in a line at the Ferris wheel. When it was our turn, we squished in a cart. Or, whatever it's called.

We stopped at the top. I took in the view.

The moon was high in the sky, no stars could be seen with all the lights from the pier. The moonlight sparkled on the ocean, and a few sailboats were out in the water. I saw something blueish-green twinkling under the surface.

Cassie.

I smiled knowing my best friend was looking at almost the same this I was.

"Brittany," Louis started.

I turned to him.

"I know there's a three year age difference between us, and that we just met and all, but would you like to be my girlfriend?" He looked up at me hopefully.

He needed an answer. So, no second thought intended, I crashed my lips onto his. Fireworks when I kissed him would be a total understatement. We pulled away, and the ride ended.

As we stepped off, I intertwined our fingers.

"Yes." I spoke to him. He grinned.

Emily's POV

I stepped into the fancy restaurant with Niall. My outfit was a lemon yellow, floor length dress that was tight at the top, but hung from the waist down. It had a sweet heart neckline and silver embroidary on top. It was soft like silk, and very basic. My shoes were silver high heels so my dress wouldn't drag. My nails were silver and my hair was curled and pulled to one side. My earrings were long and dangle-y, Cassie mentioned something about them being real silver?

But I loved my makeup, also by Cassie. It was some glitteryr mascara to make my eyes pop. My lipstick was just some peach pink stain, covered in light pink gloss. She even added small round silver stones to the outer corner of my eyes. I also wore a bit of blush on my cheeks, though I won't need it the way Niall makes me blush.

"Table for 2? Reservations under Horan?" Niall asked, linking arms with me. We were gestured over to a small round table with a candle in the center. Niall pulled out my chair for me andI thanked him and sat. He then sat across from me and held up his menu, reading trough the vast list of options.

I didn't know what any of this food was, so Niall ordered for me. He got us calamari as an appetizer to share, then he got me stuffed flounder with a side salad, then he got us a huge sundae to share.

Oh Niall.

As I took my 5th or 6th scoop of vanilla ice cream, Niall put his spoon down. I swallowed the creamy stuff then did the same. He took my hands and intertwined them.

"Emily Pearson, I know we just met a little while ago, but I really like you. I was wondering if you'd like to be my girlfriend?"

I looked at him. His eyes sparkled. I knew that by now my face would be cherry red.

"Niall, I couldn't say no if I wanted to! Of course I'll be your girlfriend!" I giggled. He grinned at me. Then he pushed the sundae aside and leaned in for a kiss. His lips were soft and slightly chapped, and boy was he a good kisser. His lips tasted like vanilla ice cream and chocolate drizzle. Mm.

Finally we pulled away. We were both breathing deeply. Once we both had caught out breaths, I grinned and he grinned back, then we both went back in for another round.
