Lily's POV.
I gasped at my reflection. Cass really can work magic.
My dress is bright red, and it comes about mid thigh. It is tight and has a sleeve on one shoulder. My shoes are silver high heels, and the heels are two inches high, so I'm not that much taller.
My dirty blond-light brown hair is curled and left down, with my makeup involves mascara on both the top and bottom lashes, black eyeliner, and heavy glitter on my eyelids. My lipstick is my signature blood red, with a light gloss so my lips aren't so dry. Over my foundation is some light pink blush. My earrings are real round ruby studs, which match my necklace and ring.
"I-I... Woah..." I breathed staring at myself. Cassie clapped her hands and squealed. I just stood there, my mouth wide open. I turned to Cassie. "Thank you!" I squealed. Then we got serious.
"Lily, you are one of my best friends. I do want what's best for you. If you don't like this boy, then there's plenty of fish in the sea." Then we burst out laughing at her choice of words. Fish in the sea? Get it? Cause she's a... Mermaid... No? Ok than...
"But seriously." Cassie looked at me.
"I get it."
"I know, but I love you!" She yelped. Then she shoved a silver clutch in my hands when we heard a honk outside. She pushed me out the door. "Hey! Liam! Y'all better be home by 12!" I mentally face palmed myself before shutting the door and turning to Liam.
"Hey!" I gave a shy wave.
"H-hi..." He looked at me grinning. Liam opened the car door and I stepped in. "You look gorgeous Lily." He smiled and hopped in the drivers side. He was wearing a white dress shirt with a red tie that matched my dress perfectly. Cassie must've told him the color of my dress. He also wore black dress pants and black dress shoes.
"Thanks. You don't look too shabby yourself." I commented grinning. We pulled up to some restaurant I've never seen. When we walked in, we were brought to a table behind a red curtain. It was on a small balcony, and I gasped as I looked over it. California at night was amazing. Lights from buildings and houses lit everything up. The moon was near full, but not quite.
The lights of Cali slowly went off after a couple of minutes, and I turned around to a small table with two chairs. The table cloth was white and reached the floor (which was carpeted red). The centerpiece was a small fishbowl with 3 red roses in it. Liam pulled out a chair and I sat and looked up. There was a glass chandelier with 9 candles on it. I grinned at Liam sitting across from me. He grinned back. In a matter of seconds, I was brought a plate of steak, mashed potatoes, and perfectly seasoned vegetables. I looked wide eyed as a big glass of sparkly lemon water was place in front of me.
"So, um... Do you like it?" Liam asked, hope audible in his voice.
"Hmm... No." I looked at him, he looked hurt. I couldn't take it. "I love it!" I yelled a bit too loud. My voice echoed all throughout the city. Oops
We ordered our food, which was delicious and extremely expensive, way too overpriced but Liam said it was fine.
After that we talked about the most random things from our favorite colors, to our childhood pets, to our least favorite roller coasters.
The dinner was wonderful, but the best part was the walk afterwards.
I walked alongside Liam, not quite sure where we were going...
"Lily?" Liam turned to me. I looked up at him as a response.
"Do you want to go on another date sometime? Somewhere more... You?" This made me grin.
