Alexander Marino

10:24am

Megan and I were working really hard. It was almost time for the team meeting and we had to clean up our stuff in the conference room.

"Do you think they will be okay about it?" She asked nervously. I nodded.

"If they're not, I'm going to make them be okay about it." I said with a smile. She smiled too but then stopped. I sighed. That kiss had made things a little complicated between the two of us but I couldn't help myself.

She was about to ask me more questions about my private room. And she was only wearing a tank top and shorts. I've never seen her so exposed before, and she looked damn good in those shorts. I'd been trying to contain myself since the first day I saw her but a man can only take so much. I even remember saying she wouldn't be able to make me breathless and yet, I was gasping for air laying on her shoulder that night.

I sighed. Learning about her made it worst because not only do I like her body but I like her soul. The women she is, and her little giggle and her smile and those big brown eyes. Especially her dimples. I like everything about her and I want to continue to learn about her. The way we were pressed together last night just made me want to stay like that, pressed against her, forever.

She just fit perfectly against my chest and I didn't want her to leave. It was like we were crafted for each other. I was pulled out of thoughts when I heard her sweet voice.

"Alex, we gotta clean up so people can sit. Can you set up the board?" She asked. She must've not liked it as much as I did though. She barely talks to me unless it's about work. I've tried to ask her for help on some things but she would make those conversations quick.

I started picking up when everyone else started to walk in. Everyone sat down and Brian stood up in front of everyone.

"Alright everybody. Since Mr. Marino isn't here, I will be taking over this meeting for him. We will start with Alex and Megan. Please show us what you have so far." He said and we stood up.

I gave Megan a look and she started talking. She was doing really good too. She looked nervous but she didn't sound like it. She spoke fluently and I just watched her and tried not to smile. I saw her eyes lighting up. She was really passionate about this project. That's why I can't ruin this for her. I can't be in a relationship with her.

"Alright, now Alex," Brian said and I started talking. I went through everything quickly so I could sit down. I made sure everyone knew my point of view I had for the store. I even passed out a design that Megan and I had finished a while ago. I saw Megan looking at me out of the corner of my eye and I smirked.

"Now, Brian, the thing I emailed you about. There is a billboard on the exit of Orchard and Houston, a couple blocks away from the store. Megan thought it would be a good idea to advertise the store there. Everyone who drives down that highway would be able to see it." I said and everyone nodded.

Brian had a straight look on his face. "Also, we thought it would be a good idea to change the name of the store. If we want this store to be different than the one we already had here, we need to make it different. Even changing the name." I said and handed out the design I showed Megan this morning.

Everyone looked at it but I couldn't gauge their reactions.

"That would mean our team would have to redo the whole store design," Ty spoke looking at the paper.

"Not everything. We would just have to make a few changes. It would put us back a couple days but it can be done." Ben said nodding his head at me. I nodded back at him.
