8:30 am

I got in the office a little late today. Monday's aren't my good days. I'm sure I would hear something from Alex. I walked onto the 14th floor and went straight to the break room. I needed coffee. I got there and made my coffee really quick. I walked back to my desk and sat my stuff down. Alex was sitting at his desk and he was working already. He hasn't said anything about me being late. I sat down and answered some calls because we still had to juggle our work from before. I walked over to his desk and handed him some paperwork from the Madison account.

"Mrs. Madison's people would like to have a conference call today. I was thinking we could take it right before lunch. It will be 9 where they are." I said. He looked at the papers and nodded.

"Do we have everything together? Because if not we can't have this call." He said looking at me.

"Everything should be in order. I will double check with Anna to see if everyone's been doing their job." I said and he nodded.

"Just check back with me and let me know. Then we can have the conference call before lunch. Do you want to go in the conference room?" He asked. I raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, we can go." He nodded and stood up. I went to my desk and grabbed my stuff and then we went to the conference room. He was weirdly being nice to me. I wanted to ask him but then he would get grouchy again. We sat down and started working.

"So how many designs do we have so far?" I asked. He pulled out some that he probably worked on this weekend. I don't know when he had the time.

"Uhm, we've done 32 I believe. With these 5 I did this weekend, that's 37. We are getting there." I sighed and I nodded.

"Well, let's get to work then."

We worked for a couples hours and came up with 10 more designs. We were working really quick today. I was happy about this too. We were moving so smoothly and we were on the same page. This is the first time I've actually been okay with working with him. He hasn't given me a dirty look all day today.

"Since we're doing so well, can you go check with Anna to see if we are ready for the conference call?" I nodded my head and stood up from my seat. I walked out of the conference room and walked to the elevator. Someone walked up beside me and I looked.

"Hello Megan, how are you doing today?" Noah asked me and smiled. I returned the smile.

"I've been good actually, how have you been?" I asked.

"I'm better now." He let me walk into the elevator first when the doors opened. My smile got a little bigger.

"So you and Alex haven't been arguing today?" He asked with a smirk. I shook my head.

"Surprisingly, we haven't. He hasn't been that angry." He nodded.

"Well that's good. At least you guys aren't at each other's throats the whole time." I nodded. "So," he asked quickly, "what are you doing this weekend?" He asked. I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Nothing really, why what's up?" I asked. He ran his hand through his hair.

"Well, I was wondering if you'd like to go on a date ... with me. I wanna get to know you better." I smiled sympathetically.

"Noah, that's nice of you to offer but ... with this new store opening, I don't know." He sighed.

"It's okay. I understand." He said and looked back to the elevator doors. I sighed.

"Okay, we can go. As long as it's two friends hanging out. I don't wanna get distracted while we're working on this store. That's my top priority." He nodded and he started to smile again.
