5:45 am

I woke up this morning wanting to roll over and go back to sleep. I've been so busy lately that I haven't even had time to talk to David on how everything was going at the company. It's been 3 weeks since I've seen him. I looked at the time and sighed. I really didn't wanna get out of bed today but it was Friday. That meant a half day. I got up and hopped in the shower. I threw on some black jeans and a sleeveless red peplum top.

It was casual Friday's. I straightened my hair. I grabbed my glasses from my nightstand and put them on. There was a knock at my door and I went to go answer it. I saw Benjamin standing there with a smile on his face.

"Well good morning sunshine." I looked at him with my eyebrows furrowed.

"What are you doing here? How did you find my apartment?" He kept the smile on his face.

"I looked it up," he said and I gasped, "and I saw you leaving the office yesterday and you took the bus." I just looked at him. "Come on, let's go so we can get to the office." I shook my head.

"I don't need a ride." I said as I went back to my room and grabbed my purse. I grabbed my patent leather red heels from my closet and slid them on. I picked up my phone off my nightstand and walked out of my room. Benjamin was standing in my living room looking at pictures. "Can you not touch my stuff?" I asked. He put down the picture frame and turned towards me.

"Do you have your bag? I can carry it for you." I shook my head.

"I left it at the office. I didn't have time to grab it before I left."

"I love those heels." I looked down at them and shrugged.

"There just a pair of heels." I furrowed my eyebrows and walked towards the door. He walked behind me.

"They are red heels. They're sexy." He said and smirked down at me. I rolled my eyes. I closed the door and locked it. We walked towards the elevator.

"Ben, don't start. It's to early in the morning for this," I said as I pressed the elevator button. He chuckled.

"I'm sorry, I just can't help it. It's who I am." He shrugged and the elevator doors opened. We stepped in and he pressed the ground floor.

"So, to change the subject, did you find a dress for the event tomorrow?" I sighed and shook my head.

"I completely forgot with this new store opening." He nodded and the doors opened up.

"I figured you would've." I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at him as we walked out of my building.

"Well what's that supposed to mean?" I asked while he opened my door to his 2015 Jaguar. He closed the door and walked around the car. He slid in and shook his head.

"I didn't mean anything by it. I'm just saying we've all been busy, I was just guessing you forgot about it." I nodded knowing that we have been really busy. Every single day, I've left the office later and later. "But, I have a fix for you. The photography department has a big closet of clothes they use for photo shoots and they never use them twice so I can find you something." I sighed and shook my head.

"I can find something on my own. I don't need your help Ben." He laughed.

"Are you always like this?" I furrowed my eyebrows for the hundredth time today.

"What do you mean?" He looked at me for a moment and then looked back at the road when the light turned green.

"You are trying to fend for yourself. You don't want anyone to help you." I shook my head.
