3. Getting Fired

After the meeting was over, Megan walked to the elevator without me. I watched as she walked away with her hips swaying from side to side. This is not going to be good. Benjamin put his hand on my shoulder.

"If you don't, I will." I shook my head.

"Go ahead. I don't want her." He pumped his fist and started walking towards her. I pulled him back and he gave me a questioning look.

"Never mind. Stay away from her." He raised an eyebrow.

"Really?" He asked while putting his hands in his pocket and I nodded my head.

"Not like that though, I just don't want you messing with my employees. You already messed with Anna." He smirked.

"She wanted it. I just let it happen." I chuckled.

"And where has that gotten you? She hates you now." He sighed.

"That's not my fault. She never told me about her boyfriend." He raised his hands in defense and I laughed.

"And you didn't realize the promise ring on her finger?" He rubbed his chin and flashed a smiled.

"That's not what I was paying attention too." I shook my head.

"You need to grow up man." I advised and he scoffed.

"Says the man who still wears ninja turtle pajamas." I shook my head.

"There's absolutely nothing wrong with ninja turtle pajamas. The ninja turtles are a true classic." I said and a women walked by switching her hips. She flashed a smile at us. Benjamin rubbed his chin and smirked.

"Well, that's my cue to get back to work." He walked off towards the women and I sighed.

I walked towards the elevator and pressed the up button. I waited for the elevator to come. The elevator doors opened and I walked in. When I got back to my floor, I made my way over to my office. I walked by Megan's desk and I saw her chomping down on her salad.

I laughed but she didn't hear me. I can't get attached to her like I did with Maria. It will only cause problems. She probably thinks I'm an asshole anyways. I walked over to her desk and tapped her shoulder. She jumped a little and I tried to keep a grin off my face.

"What?" She said and I furrowed my eyebrows. Time to be an asshole.

"That's not how you answer me Ms. Lewis. I advise you get your act together." She rolled her eyes.

"Yes Mr. Marino?" Her voice was monotone.

"When your done eating, I need to see you in my office." She nodded and turned back around. "I need to hear your voice!" I spat and she sighed.

"Okay Mr. Marino." I nodded and started walking back to my office. I stopped and then turned back around. "You can call me Alexander." I turned around and I walked into my office. I set my laptop bag on my desk and sat down in my chair.

I looked at the picture of my family on my desk. My life was pretty good until Maria messed it up. That's why I can't get attached to Megan. Even though she is amazingly beautiful and her body is wonderful. I sighed. My phone started to ring and I reached for it. I picked it up and started talking.

"Hello?"

"Son, I have great news."

"What is it pops?"

"We just reached our sales goal that was set last month. You have been doing good son." I smiled.

"Thank you."
