My alarm went off and I reached for it to turn it off. I rolled over in my bed and just laid there. I sighed and a small smile slowly made it's way onto my face because I was thinking about Alex. I laid there for a minute and just let the morning sunrise warm my skin.
Today was the last day so I pulled myself and got an outfit together. I started packing up my clothes and everything in my room. I was going to miss Milan. Such a beautiful place.
There was a knock on my door and I went to open it.
"Good morning Dolcezza," Alex said and he gave me a kiss.
"Good morning, how did you sleep?" I asked walking back into my room and he followed.
"Sad because I didn't have anyone to cuddle but, other than that it was fine I guess." I rolled my eyes and smiled.
"You're perfectly fine. Where do you want to eat?" I asked sitting on top of my suitcase trying to close it. "Could you help?" He walked over and zipped up my suitcase for me. I hopped off the suitcase and went to put my shoes on.
"There's a café that Romano suggested I'd go to while I was here. I think we should try. He says they have the best pastries in town!" I nodded my head.
"You know I like my bread." I went to grab my suitcase but Alex put his hand on it. I grabbed my work bag and my purse and we walked towards the door.
"You sure you have everything?" He asked. I nodded and we walked down to the lobby. We checked out of the hotel and we went to our first show. We had to be at the airport at 4:30 so we had time to see two last shows.
After the shows were over, we got in our car and headed for the airport. Alex was on the phone with his father telling him about all the good news. He even asked to speak with me for a little. He just went on and on about how proud he was of us for keeping it together and pulling in the deals. When he got off the phone, I just smiled at Alex. He had this look of satisfaction on his face. I loved how much he loved his family. He looked at me and then smiled.
"We did it Dolcezza." I nodded and leaned my head on his shoulder.
"We sure did." I then started thinking about going home. And who was going to be there when I got back. "Oh, Alex," I said and he looked at me.
"What's up?"
"My sister is going to be in town this weekend and she wants to meet you." He raised an eyebrow.
"We've only been together for a day and you already want me to meet the family?" He put his hand on his heart and said, "I feel so special." I shook my head and laughed.
"You came up in a conversation and now she wants to meet you." He raised an eyebrow.
"How did I come up in this conversation?" I sighed.
"Babe, does it really matter?" He shook his head.
"Saying babe isn't going to deter me from getting my answer." He said and I rolled my eyes.
"We were talking about the Milan trip the day before we left and she asked me who I was going with. I told her a coworker and then she started firing questions and asked if you were hot,"
"Did you tell her yes? Because I am." He cut me off. I shook my head.
"No I did not. I just ... want you to be on your best behavior please." He smacked his lips.
"I'm starting to think you don't know me at all. She's going to love me." I sighed.
"Well, we'll see."
