Megan Lewis

11:52am

It's been a week since Alex and I had our talk in the kitchen. Well, he didn't really let me talk. He just yelled and slammed his hands on everything. I actually cried a couple tears that night after he scared me shitless when he broke that plate. He still hasn't apologized to me for blowing up like that. But he shouldn't have found out like that.

"Hey Megan?" Noah said looking at me and I snapped out of my thoughts.

"Huh?" I shook my head.

"Are you okay?" He looked at me with those green eyes. I sighed. We were having lunch together today since Alex wouldn't say anything to me. We were sitting outside the cafe next to the office and it was a sunny Friday afternoon.

"Yeah I'm fine. Just, a lot of stuff going on at home." I said and looked down at my salad. I didn't have an appetite anymore.

"Something happen with you and Alex? You guys don't seem as good as you were last week in the elevator." I sighed.

"Just the same old Alex, being stubborn and not listening to what I have to say." I didn't feel like talking about it.

"Well if you need someone, I'm here for you Megan." He reached out and put his hand on top of mine. I wanted to pull back but that would be rude.

"Well hello, am I interrupting?" A voice said and it pulled my attention away from Noah. It was Ben.

"No," I said and pulled my hand away. "Your not interrupting. You can have a seat." I said and patted the seat next to me. I moved over and Ben sat next to me. Noah sighed and I felt bad. He must really like me. I don't know why. It doesn't seem like I would be his "type".

"So, what were you guys talking about?" Ben asked with an eyebrow raised.

"Alex." I stated bluntly. He looked at me and smirked.

"Oh really? What about Alex?" He asked.

"How we are arguing again. And this time it's the worst it's ever been." I sighed and moved my salad around. I don't even think I'm going to eat it.

"Hey guys, can we join?" Ty asked us with Brian standing next to him. I nodded my head and they pulled up chairs to our small table. It became a team lunch and everyone was there but Alex.

"So, this new name thing, when did you come up with it?" Ty asked me.

"Like a couple weeks ago. I was just thinking about the store one night and I thought about the name. There was already a Phenomenal here and I thought if we open a different store with the same name, people will think it's the same." Ty nodded and looked at his watch.

"Well, I think that is a wonderful idea but I wish you would've said something earlier. Now we have to changed the design of everything." Ty said and I nodded.

"I understand that but it's for the best. We don't want to do all this hard work and accomplish nothing." I narrowed my eyes and looked at him. He raised his hands up in defeat.

"Not trying to say anything by it, I'm just speaking for the team." Ty sipped his drink right after he said that. I raised an eyebrow.

"The team? Ben?" I looked at him and he gave me a look.

"You know I supported the idea. It wasn't me." He leaned his head in the direction of Noah. I raised an eyebrow and looked at Noah.

"You had a problem with the name change?" I asked. He sighed.

"Not really a problem, it just put a little pressure on us to get back on track." He said not looking at me.

"I understand that but we are all the best at our jobs and that's why we're all on this project together." He still wasn't looking at me. I rolled my eyes and closed my salad.
