(A little short chapter here.)
"Look Genos there's a shooting star up in the sky!" You pointed at the night sky full of stars that light up with the full moon.
"Where?" He follows you outside to your porch, watching the sky along with you.
"You missed it, kiddo! I'm gonna make a wish!" You quickly closed your eyes and laced your fingers together in a firm grip.
Curious of what you were doing, Genos studied your figure as if you were a frozen statue. A beautiful statue. He went back and forth, looking at the sky, then to you again. You were muttering something under your breath. Genos couldn't make out what you were saying so he leaned in close to you, listening to your voice. But as soon as he paused to listen in, you were already done wishing for something.
"What are you doing Genos? You can't listen to my wish!" You were able to mess up his fluffy blonde hair since he was trying to level with your height.
"Why not?" He straightens his legs while looking at the stars, attempting to identify them by scanning them.
"If anyone knows what I wish for, then it won't come true." You informed him.
"Even me?" He raised a brow, focusing his attention on you.
"Even you." You squinted, pointing at his chest with a sly smile.
"It's getting really dark. The full moon is really pretty." You commented while you stretched.
"Yes. It is." He agreed to your statement.
It was quiet for a moment when you were enjoying the sight of the white spherical moon until Genos spoke.
"Can I make a request?" He asks.
"Of course. Name it." You scoffed in a joking manner.
"I want you to sleep in the same bed as I. The temperature right now is unsatisfying." It was so random and sudden that his request nearly caught you unguarded.
"What?? I can't do that! You're my honorable guest!" You spoke in a dramatic tone, shaking your head.
"What's wrong with that? The temperature out here will affect you. You might catch a cold. Do you have a heater?"
"M-My heater broke but I have blankets to cover me so I'll be fine--"
You decided to head back in the room until Genos stops you from leaving him.
"(First), please. I don't want you to get sick."
The cyborg was showing signs of concern for your wellness that it surely surprised you.
"Huh? W-What can you do to help me?" You asked.
"I can generate heat in my body to give you warmth."
Genos shows you a demonstration as his shoulders began to shine and emit his own shadow. You backed away to feel the heat rise, coming from him.
"Come, I'll show you." Genos gestures you to approach him.
You've seen this before. You hesitantly held out your hand to touch him. Genos gently grabs your hand and pulls it close to his chest. As soon as your palm rests on his body, you looked up at him as he smiles.
"That's warm." You awkwardly complimented.
"Will you please sleep beside me tonight, (First)?" He asks once more, holding one hand with both of his.
"..... Okay... If that's what you think you have to do." You nervously laughed.
"I won't burn you, (First). I'll keep you warm." He wore an innocent grin before you made your way to your bed.
Genos had already gotten in bed, making space that will fit you nicely. You slowly slipped in bed and turned off the lights. The cyborg wraps his arms around you, turning up the heat in his chest area.
"You are surprisingly cold. Are you always like this?" Genos wondered.
"Genos you're like a mother bird keeping her baby warm." You quietly laughed.
"Goodnight, (First)." He shifted and snuggled close to you.
"Night, kid." You sighed, shutting your eyes tight.
