"Oh my goodness I'm going to be late to work!" You struggled to put on your worn out sneakers, hopping on one leg in panic mode.
"Didn't you say that it's pretty far from here? What time do you have to be there? " Genos asked as he watches you rush in a calm state, sitting properly on your bed.
"I-I gotta be there in 10 minutes! I think I can make it if I run really fast!" You explained, slipping on your jacket.
"I can take you there."
You turned around to look at the young cyborg and hesitantly laughed in a sarcastic way.
"And how are you going to--"
Within a second, your feet was swept off the floor. You found yourself uncomfortable in the arms of the "cyborg prince". He stares into space like a heroic man would after he saves someone, showing pride and confidence.
"Where to?" He began scanning through the walls to determine your workplace.
"Genos, are you serious? Put me down, it's so embarrassing! This is no time for jokes!" You pushed him a couple times yet he refused to budge.
"(First)-" Genos looks into your eyes with his bright golden orbs. He seemed so serious that you stopped fighting against him and waited.
"W-What?" You noticed how close his face is to yours. He was gradually leaning over you.
"Where to?" He asks once more. You knew that Genos was quite the stubborn cyborg but there was absolutely no time to be arguing. You had no choice but to depend on him for taking you to work.\
"I-It's seven blocks down that way when we get out of this building. Just head straight East and then you should be able to find a cafe that says "Aramile Cafe--" Genos opens the door to your porch and jumps off. It frightened you because you lived on the 6th floor. You can feel your own heart drop as soon as Genos hits the ground which crumbles into smithereens from where he stood. He quickly picks up his pace, carrying you with him. You can barely see what's going on or where he's going. Your hair blinds you from seeing anything from the fast wind. You were afraid that Genos might have gone haywire. It was like going on a roller coaster. You closed your eyes and clutched onto your bag, cringing into Genos' chest. After a good 7 seconds of that fast coaster ride, Genos quickly comes to a stop.
"(First), we're here." He tells you as you opened one eye. You couldn't believe it. He actually took you to the cafe. He gently lets you go and backs away from you.
"How..... Did you do that?" You turned around, ignoring the fact that your hair was out of place.
Genos couldn't say what that was either. He decided to ignore your question after a moment of not being able to answer you.
"What time do you get off work?" He crosses his arms as you shook your head to get a few strands out of your face.
"I-I get off at 9 why?" You replied.
"I'll pick you up by then.... What should I do while you're gone at work?" He asks.
"U-Uh, just make yourself feel at home Genos. Your home is my home so yeah. Just don't break the the room down and be careful okay? I-I gotta go now so thanks for taking me to work." You stuttered before entering the shoppe.
"Goodbye." He waves before he walks away.
You sighed and went in the back of the shoppe. For some reason, your fellow coworkers were staring at you, talking to one another. You decided to shake it off until you wore your uniform and black apron. The glances did not stop and so did the whispers. You groaned and approached towards one of them.
"Hey, what're you guys talking about?" You played with your fingers in a shy manner, tilting your head to one side.
"Oh nothing." One says in sarcasm language.
"It's nothing important. Just talking about the fact that the Cyborg Prince Genos carried you to work today!!" The other shouted as they squealed in excitement, jumping.
"I-It's not like that guys." You rubbed your arm, looking away.
"How did you two even meet?? Please give me all the details!"
"Is he your boyfriend now?"
"You're so lucky (first)!"
Before you knew it, the girls were gathering around like a crowd around you.
"Guys guys! What are you all going on about? I-I'm not in a r-relationship with a human android, are you serious?" You blushed, covering your cheeks with both hands.
"Then what was that all about, "bridesmaid?" They nudged your arm, giggling.
"Huh?"
"Explain why he was carrying you!~"
"I was late and h-he insisted on taking me, that's all!" You replied.
"You're so lucky, (first), I wish I was you!"
"Yeah, me too!" They all said while wearing a disappointed face.
"Hey hey! If you're not interested in that hot piece of ass, can you give him to me?" All of their faces appear to light up afterwards and it went on from there.
"Yeah! You should totally talk to him for me!"
The girls began to fantasize once more, causing a small commotion to go on in your little personal bubble.
"How do you all know who he is??" You shouted.
It was quiet for a moment until they began fangirling again.
"Why, he's the S-class hero of the Heroes Association!"
"He's Genos, the handsome cyborg! He's one of the most popular and well known hero of all time!" they explained.
Apparently, from what they are saying, Genos was supposedly a hero who serves justice for the people in this world. You have heard about the Heroes Association but you didn't know that heroes like Genos would be ranked by their own ability and knowledge.
"You know the license-less rider right?" One of the them asked.
"The one who lives in Z-city??" Your face began to lighten up just like the group of girls surrounding you.
"Yeah! He's a hero of the Hero's Association too!"
Apparently, you were familiar with the name of License-less rider. He was the man who had saved you from getting mugged at a convenience store. It was dated back a while ago when there was a large sale going on and you needed to get some food and supplies until you were stopped by penniless thugs. Right when your bag was snatched away, the group was soon stopped by none other than a stranger. He was known as the famous "License-less Rider". After he had retrieved your bag with extreme difficulty of staying alive, you thanked him for returning your bag. He rarely survived the fight, though it was a 1-on-4 fight. But nonetheless, he stood back up each time he was brought down. You looked up to the random stranger that day and never forgot about him. You still remember him to this day. He once told you that he was just visiting C-city for a while before he leaves to return to Z-city. Nowadays, you only hear his name.
"What are you all doing?"
Your thoughts of the past were interrupted by the voice of your annoyed manager.
"Please get back to work and don't just stand there, fangirling about boys. We have a lot of customers to serve out there! Come on girls, let's get to work!" The grumpy lady announced, hearing the sound of moaning and groaning coming from your surrounding.
"I bet Genos is going to pick you up after work~" One of the girls whispered.
"Ohhh boy...." You sighed in response and went to work like the manager said.
