You ran back to your apartment building. If you called out Genos' name, it'll only bring Saitama's attention from somewhere. You felt like you were running out of time. You first searched your room on the 6th floor but after that extreme leg workout, Genos wasn't there anymore which you figured he wouldn't be in the beginning yet you wanted to make sure.

"Where could he have gone? D-Did I hurt his feelings to have him run away on his own?" You thought, descending the stairs in a quick pace and sprinted out the door.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Genos sat down nearby a fountain after falling into it. He was drenched and soaked. He couldn't find his way back or to you. The only thing he can do is sit and wait for you. It's been a good thirty minutes and you have not been heard from yet. He was worried you might forget about him already. He had a feeling that you won't be coming any sooner or until nighttime. He ignored the people passing by with whispers of him. He didn't care about what society thinks of him.

"G-Genos!"

He turns his head towards the direction of the speaker.

"Huh?" He needed to reassure that he hears the sound of someone calling him.

"Who's there?" Genos became cautious as he stood up, taking a couple steps forward.

"It's me, (First)! I'm right here!"

"(First)? Oh, what a relief--"

Genos can feel your hand holding onto his.

"What's going on? Can you see me?" You asked.

"N-No, (First). I can't see anything. It's pitch black. Am I going blind?" Genos replied.

"Hurry, let's go! Whatever you do, don't let go alright? Let's quickly go home to check on your eyes." You rushed him, practically dragging the stumbling cyborg with you.

"(First), I'm so glad you came or me. I'm sorry about earlier--"

"No time for apologies, let's get you home first!" You interfered.

"Oh."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

As soon as you returned home with Genos, you closed the blinds and locked the door shut. You made sure no light was visible in case Saitama were to pass by. You assisted Genos to sit down on your bed while you feel the texture of his eyelids.

"How did this happen?" You wondered.

"I don't know. There must be something wrong with me." Genos explained.

You couldn't find a solution to this problem so, the only thing you came up with his bang his head. You didn't intend to do it but it was the only option, which frightened Genos at first.

CLANK! CLANK! CLANK! CLANK!

"Anything?" You asked.

"No. Maybe you should try a little harder."

CLANK! CLANK! CLANK!

"Can you see me now?"

"No. Try again."

CLANK! CLANK! CLANK!

"Is that better or...?"

"Try a little harder. I think I just saw something."

CLANK! CLANK!

"Now?"

"No, try---"

"Genos you're a liar." You interrupted him.

"Liar? How so?" Genos tilted his head to one side.

"You can already see me after I hit your head the second time."

"Huh?"

"You were smiling, you cheeky robot." You jabbed a finger on his chest as if you were accusing him.

The cyborg jolted after getting caught by you. All he wanted to do was stare at your face, close up and personal.

"(First), why is your room so dark?" Genos curiously asks, quickly changing the subject.

"Ohhhh uhm, I don't really like the sun so I think I'll keep them closed for a little while." You lied.

"Makes sense." He nods.

"Uhh yeah..."

"........ (first), will you kiss me?" Genos requested.

You were shocked to hear that kind of question from him. You stood up and backed away from him.

"HAH!?"

"Here... My eyes. Will you kiss them to make the pain go away?"

"You're feeling pain right now? W-Who told you that a kiss can make pain go away?!" You demanded yet not out of anger.

"I.... Read it somewhere." Genos answered.

It all made sense to you. This oblivious young man just wanted to make you feel better and heal your wounds with kisses. You have heard of such a thing but does Genos know that it doesn't really affect anything?

"Genos, my clueless cinnamon bun, kisses do not make pain go away at all. It has not been scientifically proven or anything of a sort."

"They don't?" Genos blinks a couple times before comprehending your explanation.

"It's kind of a thing for a mother to say when her child gets hurt."

"Oh. I see. I understand now."

"Yes, so don't go around kissing people." You teased, pinching his cheeks.

"Well if kisses don't work then will you do something else for me?" Genos looks up at you.

"W-What?"

"Will you tell me that everything will be alright? I'm a little scared right now."

You sat back down on the bed and sighed.

"If it makes you happy, I'll do it, you weirdo." You scoffed.

With open arms, Genos quickly accepts your hold, bringing you close to him. He clenched onto your shirt, inhaling your sweet scent.

"I don't know why you're scared but I'll turn on the lights if you want me to." You heartily laughed, patting his back.

Only Genos knows that he's in grave danger. His system is constantly notifying him of his status. These images would pop out in his eyes, sending a signal to his brain, forcing him to comprehend the situation he is in.
