Ever since the day of that incident with the unknown monster, Genos hasn't been giving you any personal space. He was afraid that you'd be in danger again. Genos mentioned that his system isn't working really well. He can no longer sense danger or any presence near him. And so he decided from that day onward, he will forever stay by your side to protect you. There were often times where his actions went beyond the line. Just the other day, you spotted a harmless bug passing by and within a millisecond, Genos slammed his rough fist on the poor little creature, killing it.
You returned back to work after two days of staying at home. Even though you went back to work, he would still walk alongside with you. And unfortunately, your coworkers were fangirling around him when he dares to enter the Cafe.

"Oh my gawd please tell me I'm dreaming!"

"It's really Genos!"

"He's much handsomer than the pictures online!"

"He's so cool!"

You stayed quiet, feeling a tad bit irritated that Genos wouldn't leave you alone. Your manager was still at the hospital so the oldest would take over the Cafe. The entire day consisted of your fellow girlfriends swooning over the oh-so handsome cyborg but he preferred not to talk much with them. He would sit down by a table, watching you from afar, crossing his arms.

"Hey! Get back to work, 'kids'!" You called out to them.

"Oh, right, I almost forgot! Whoops!" The girls giggled as they dispersed and resumed to serve customers.

"So how are your injuries, (First)?" One of them approached you.

"I'm feeling great, actually." You scoffed with a smile, wiping the table.

"You know, he hasn't stopped looking at you for awhile." The girl raises her brows.

You looked over to see a serious looking Genos who didn't mind sharing eye contact with you from across the room. Your eyes were half-lidded, giving him a bored look and a small pout. He was unaffected by it.

"Hmph." You huffed, continuing on with your job.

After you served tea and coffee to customers, you noticed that Genos was sharing a colloquial conversation with your assistant manager. She sat down across from him. You wondered what they were talking about, seeing that Genos was actually provoked to have a chat.

"He must be getting along with her. That's good." You grinned, pouring coffee in a teacup.

"Hey there."

Genos looked up to see that it was your assistant manager.

"Hello." He spoke in a monotone.

"I can see that you two are pretty close." She gestured her head towards your direction.

Genos went back to patrolling your actions, listening to the woman talk to him.

"She's brave, y'know." The woman folded her hands together, making herself comfortable.

"........"
"Those cuts and bruises on her pure silk skin are battle scars. I saw how she fought that thing.... If I was the one facing the terrifying monster that day, I would've run away. But no matters how scared she was, she stood her ground to fight. Something I can't do I mean, that monster was so ugly and horrific. It was like a scene in one of
those cheesy horror films." She spoke.

"..... Why are you telling me this?" Genos avoided her stare and concentrated on you from afar.

"I know you're upset to see her like this but, there's a way to heal those wounds of hers." She smirked.

"How?" His attention immediately directed towards her.

"Let's just say you didn't hear it from me, deal?" She winked in a flirtatious attitude.

"I see....... What's that supposed to mea---"

"--Kid, you're ruining the vibe here." She sighed.

"Oh, right. Sorry."

----------------------------------------------------------------

At the end of the day, Genos waited by the door for you to leave the Cafe.

"Thanks for helping me organize those heavy boxes in the back Genos!" Your assistant manager shouts from the opposite side of the room.

"You're welcome."

You packed up your things and finished counting the money.

"Such a sweet boy." She commented.

"A little too sweet." You quietly laughed heading towards the door to leave.

"You all set?" Genos asks you.

"Yeah. today felt like the longest day of my life." You huffed.

"Please don't strain your body too much. You can take a day off tomorrow." Genos suggested.

"Don't worry Genos. My body's not aching. Let's go home, silly." You patted him on the shoulder before taking off first. Genos quickly follows you from behind like a baby duckling tailing his mother duck.

"Ah, feels good to be home!" The first thing you did when you entered your room was flop on your bed and lay there.

"So warmmmm~" You mumbled, closing your eyes.

Genos takes the bag you dropped and hung it in your closet. He then sits beside your motionless form.

"Here, let me take off your jacket." Genos spoke.

There was no response to his offer. He knew that you rarely had any sleep during the past few days. He figured he shouldn't wake you to brush your teeth or bother you at all. Genos gently fixed your body to avoid any bad sleeping positions. Before he pulls a cover over you, he was stopped by the view of your perfectly shaped legs covered in bandages. He sighed, slowly unwrapping them since they stopped bleeding but they left ugly marks indeed. Genos covers you with the soft thick blanket before he caressed your smooth cheek.

"Sleep well. You worked hard today." He whispered as he lays beside you, embracing you.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next morning, Genos was awakened by the sound of your alarm clocks going off. He panicked, not knowing how to shut them off. There were no screws to undo. He needed to stop them from disturbing your peaceful slumber.

"Shhhh! Shhhhh!!" He thought he was going crazy for a sec, talking to a clock.

Nonetheless, the bells kept ringing and dinging. Genos did notice something strange about the clocks. He looked at the other ones and it all made sense.

'Of course... How could I have been so blind? The only way to turn all of these alarms is to...'

"Throw them away!"

He grabs a handful of them and sprinted out through the door that led to the porch. He quickly launches them from your apartment. He swore he threw at least ten of your homemade clocks that rang non-stop. As soon as he got rid of the clocks, he got rid of the noise. Genos sighed and slid the door closed.

"Phew..." Genos exhaled, now surrounded by silence.

Fortunately, you were still asleep in your bed. Anyone who dares to interrupt your beauty sleep will get beaten down by Genos. You were extremely tired that you were trapped in a lifelong dream. Genos would hear you talk in your sleep about random things. It was a sign telling him that you rarely had sleep ad needed rest as much as possible. He stops to think about what your assistant manager had told him. He remembered it very clearly, knowing what had to be done if he wanted to help you.

"I hope this works.."

Genos sat down beside your deep sleep form, gently uncovering the sheets inch by inch, starting from the feet. Once he removed the sheet, he hovers over your body and leans in close. He plants his lips on the wound on your forehead. He then made his way down to your legs and began to kiss your cuts and bruises, one by one. You still had your uniform on from yesterday's shift so he quietly lifts up the hem of your loose skirt to reveal a bruise located on the inner thigh. Genos lifts up one of your legs to reach that bruise. While he was kissing the bruise, his soft hair tickled your thigh, causing you to shift your upper body. You shook your head and opened your eyes to witness Genos under your skirt with your legs opened.
