"So, you were involved in a car accident?"

"Yeah."

"Well, I hope your eye heals. Seems like you've gone through a lot since we last met."

"I'll be okay, don't worry. I'll be able to see again."

You smiled, knowing well that you were lying to Mumen Rider. You were probably lying to yourself as well. You were still full of hope. You haven't given up just yet. You wanted to believe that you can still do more than what you can do now.

"I'm so glad that the Heroes Association solved most cases of the missing people. Looks like you guys are better than the police unit." You quickly changed the subject.

"Half of them..." Mumen turns to the crowd, facing his attention towards the open city.

"What?" You asked.

"Half of them were dead when we found their bodies." He explained.

You watched him lower his head as you thought about the news from this morning. They didn't say anything about anyone dying. You didn't feel safe after knowing that half of them didn't survive. It made things worse watching innocent people walking aimlessly everywhere in the city without a care in the world. You could hardly imagine an empty city with dead bodies lying around.

"What are you talking about?" You questioned him.

"They were rotten, as if they've been dead for centuries. The autopsies identified each and every one of them." Mumen answered.

"I don't get it. That doesn't make sense--the news started reporting the missing people a couple months back. Unless they were just corpses that were dug up and taken away." You wondered.

"No, they were definitely alive before the cases started." He claimed.

You began to fear the capability of the Evil Association. They nearly killed you yet many others were beyond unfortunate. You clenched your fists that were rested on your lap, feeling afraid and angry at the same time. You had uneasy thoughts processed in your mind, thinking of the worse case scenario if no one stops the Evil Association.

"But I'm glad you're still here. Just make sure you take care of yourself. It's never safe to stay out too long." He smiled, gently patting your back.

"Thanks, Mumen. To be honest, I haven't talked to anyone for awhile. I wish we didn't have to see each other like this. Again, thank you. I should probably go now." You stood up and bowed towards the man you respected for many years.

The man couldn't help but feel sorry towards you. He sighed, taking off his helmet and goggles, revealing his round glasses behind them, along with his short-cut hair. He silently leaned close to you and gently lifted your chin with one hand. His soft pair of lips plants a light kiss on your left eye as you froze in shock. He then pulls away, leaving you red and speechless.

"Please allow me to send you home." He offered.

"I-It's alright, I got it--!" Right after you picked up one of your bags of groceries, the plastic rips, pouring out everything inside.

Mumen couldn't help but chuckle. You seemed hopeless as ever. You knew that Mumen rider would never leave you looking like that. He was a kind gentleman you've always admired.

"Hop on, I'll put your stuff in my basket." He laughed as you hesitantly stood on the pegs behind him.

"I sometimes give rides to people nowadays. Hold on, alright?" He informs you as you nodded.

It's been a long time since you've ridden on a bike. You nearly fell off when he started paddling. The wind felt nice on your face. You cautiously closed your eyes, imagining the time when Genos had taken you to work that day. He was faster than the wind. You missed the thought of him. In sadness, you rest your head against Mumen's, gently wrapping your arms around him as he continued to paddle in a nice quiet neighborhood to your home.

Unfortunately, your thoughts were ruined after you hear a loud crash. You flinched to the sound of the noise. Mumen was caught off-guard, paddling faster. You turned around to see where the sound came from. There, you noticed two small figures from afar.

"What was that??" Mumen asked.

"I-I don't know! I think we're being followed!" You turned to the destruction of the small neighborhood you recently just entered. You were terrified of the scene as you were driven further away from it.

Suddenly, a big explosion occurs close behind you, causing the bike to flip over, sending you to fly in mid air for a second. Mumen tumbled into the ground as you landed on your side. You start to smell the scent of smoke. Your left eye starts to ache as you recovered from that explosion. Your ears begin to ring from the deafening sound. It was as if a meteor showed up out of nowhere. You coughed, glancing at the disastrous scenery. You quickly rushed to Mumen's side, attempting to wake him from this terrible accident.

"Mumen! You have to get up! C'mon!" You dragged him away from the fire smoke as you watched his bike burn along with your bags of groceries. A part of you died as you witnessed them disintegrate into ashes.

You grunted, struggling to pull him from the dangerous sight. You had to move fast otherwise the next hit would definitely kill you. That was no coincidence. You knew you were being targeted the moment it hit you.

"Well, if it isn't little miss Muffet~"

You recognized the sound of the voice from behind. You sighed and took a deep breath.

"What the hell do you want!?" You screamed in rage, glaring at the young girl you despised so much.

"I thought it'd be nice to take you to our little hideout." Lambda spoke, stroking her handmade grenade launcher.

"You're coming with us!" Reeve demanded.

"You know what? You're a bunch of assholes! I paid a lot of money for those groceries!" You scowled at them, regarding the fact that Lambda is aiming the launcher right at you.

"Do we look like we care, stupid girl?" Lambda became annoyed right after you confronted them.

"Lambda! Why don't we just take both of these idiots!?" Reeve complained.

"Don't you dare touch him! I'm warning you!" You rudely pointed at Lamda.

"Death said we only need the girl." Lambda stated.

"Hey! If you refuse to come with us, then you can say goodbye to your wimpy lookin' boyfriend!"

"Fuck off, Reeves!" You shouted as you shielded Mumen with your body.

"You know what? You'll come with us no matter what. If you refuse to cooperate with us, we'll just kill this man and the robotic human." Lambda explained.

"What did you say?" You trembled in fear, losing focus. You were running out of options since they really didn't give you much from the start.

"That's right! We have your precious little robot back at our lab!"
