You spent all night taking apart the android to clean it, starting from the inside. Though there were certain parts that you could not undo, you were able to clean up the robot after it was fully dried in the sun outside. You realized that the face of the android felt so real, like a live human head was joined with a mechanical body. His eyes were closed and he wore one earring on one side of his ear. The other must have gone somewhere, you reckoned.
"Who would want to throw you away?" You spoke to it as you rejoined the parts that you recently dismantled to clean them.
"You won't have to worry anymore. From now on, I'll take care of you--" You noticed there was a small writing etched into his arm.
"-Genos. So that's your name, huh."
After you put him back together, you searched for a switch that would turn the android on so he'd wake up but you couldn't seem to find it. Feeling slightly frustrated and disappointed, you realized that since the android "Genos" didn't have a switch, he's probably just a non-functional replica.
"I guess I'll use you to fool my guests that you're a live robot." You laughed, ruffling Genos' soft
blonde hair.
Genos was surprisingly heavy to you. You couldn't lift him up. All you can do is drag the poor robot. You couldn't make him stand either. You felt like you wanted to treat him with hospitality so, with difficulty, you propped him on your small bed. You wished you had one of those surgery tables and laughed it off with the thought of having one.
"Maybe when lightning strikes, I'll make sure that it grants you life, Genos." You giggled at your horrible joke. His face seemed peaceful. It almost seems as if he was in a deep sleep, trapped within an endless dream. You kind of felt bad that he had been abandoned or lost for quite some time. Feeling tired, you decided to rest your head on the bed while your body slept on the cold floor.
"Goodnight, Genos." You yawned as you closed your eyes.

"System reboot in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...."
Suddenly, you felt something below you rise up. Frightened by this, you quickly stood up and backed away to see what was happening. You could feel your heart pound as you witness the android awake on his own. His eyes were finally opened. You were curious of what he was going to do next. You were frozen by his movements. Genos searched around the room and got off the bed. It seems that he hasn't seen you yet. His body was faced towards the small porch outside.
"Location unknown." He spoke.
"U-Uh..." You tried to talk to Genos but before you could, your homemade alarm clock was set off, creating a loud disturbing noise.
Genos was alerted by your clock on your desk beside him. Out of instinct, his mechanical arm changed into a missile and shot the clock, along with the area surrounding it. The blast was strong that it damaged your apartment and created a hole in your wall. The clock sadly dies out.
"AHHHH!!! NOOO!!" You cried as you pulled your hair.
Genos hears your cry and aims his missile at you.
"WHOA WHOA WHOA WAIT-- C-CALM DOWN! P-PLEASE PUT THAT THING DOWN!" You automatically raised your arms up to show mercy and surrendered.
Through Genos' vision, he immediately did a full scan on your body. You were labeled as an innocent civilian.
"Identify yourself, human." He demanded.
"(First) (Last)!! I-I'm a full time worker at a restaurant! I am 18 years old a-and this is my room!" You answered in one breath.
The android calms down and reverts his weapon back to his original form.
"You pose no threat to society." He commented as he calms down.
You sighed in relief and smiled at the fact that Genos was alive. Is this a dream?
"Thanks for not killing me!" You rested a palm over your heart and laughed.
You sat down on your bed, trying to recollect what just happened.
"I can't believe it... You're actually alive!" Without showing any signs of fear, you approached Genos and studied his movements.
"A-Amazing!" You stood back and praised.
"Are you my creator?" He asked.
"I wish! I found you in a river while I was collecting stuff...." You looked at your damaged wall and frowned. You nearly forgot about that.
"Awww! How am I supposed to fix this now?" You gathered the broken parts of your clock and set them aside.
"I am very sorry about that." Genos knelt beside you to help clean the mess.
"Ehhhh it's okay. That clock scares me a lot too. Just don't do that again alright? "
Genos searched around the room once again to find all of the unique things that you put together. He was quite amazed of how you decorated your room filled with unusual combinations of things that you collect.
"What is all this?" Genos curiously asked.
"Oh, that's just uh, stuff that I make. Nothing too cool to look at." You continued to clean.
"They look beautiful." He complimented which made you froze.
"Y-You.... You think so?" You smiled.
"Yes. It's a rare gift." He returned your facial expression.
Genos was an extremely kind android. He was also helpful to you although, you wondered what he was like before he blacked out. Genos told you that he couldn't remember anything before he woke up. All he knows is his name.
