After hours of working, you wondered how Genos was doing back home. You were afraid that he might be setting off all the alarm clocks that you built at home. Only you know how to shut them off. You sat down on a chair with a cup of coffee in hand. There was only one customer sitting on the opposite side of the shoppe, reading some article. It was really quiet. You closed your eyes in relaxation and smiled.

"Work is almost over. Just ten more minutes then I'll be one my way--"

"Yeah, well that doesn't mean you just sit there all day mopin' around, thinking about your boyfriend. Come on, start cleaning." Your manager interrupted once again. And yes, she heard that you have a hero tailing you as well.

You stood up from your chair and joined the rest of the girls to clean up. You decided to wipe the windows since no one cared for it. Overall, you liked handling your job. It was like visiting a family every time. Your manager is more like a mother to you and your coworkers than just some cranky manager lady. She's more than that. You had a really close bond with the girls you work with. They all got along very well with one another too.

"Hey, what is that standing outside?" You heard someone say.

You looked through the glass to see a dark shadow. It was getting pretty late so you couldn't make out of what it was. You squinted your eyes and blocked out any light that would help reflect anything parallel to the glass.

"I don't... Know." You made your way outside to check it out.

Once you passed through those doors, you can hear it groaning like a tired man. The size of that thing 6 feet in front of you was heavily breathing, standing still. It began to rain outside as you called out to the strange figure. You've never seen anything abnormal like it. At least, not in your city.

"U-Um, can I help you?" You called out. You didn't know what else to say if you were to come out just to see what it was or who it was.

The figure looked up and began sniffing. He was inhaling something in the air. He started looking around or anyone around him. And it seems that you were the only one closest to him.

"Fresh... Meat...." You can hear him slurping as he says that in a husky tone.

"Huh?" You slowly backed away, afraid of the strange creature.

"....... Coffeeee..." He silently chuckled to himself.

You quickly made your way back inside but as soon as you opened the doors, you were grabbed by the waist and pulled away. Your loud shriek was heard by the people in the Cafe. Everyone brought their full attention to you to see what was all the commotion.

"What happened?"

"I-It's (first), I think she's in trouble!!"

"What's going on?? I can't see anything!"

The manager passed through the girls and opened the door to see you rise from the ground.

"L-Let go of me!!" You fought the giant grip on your entire stomach area.

"Fresh! Coffeee!" He growled.

You still couldn't see what he looked like until a small flash of thunder lights your way. You were terrified to see that it was no man but a creature. No, a monster with thick veins growing on the scalp area with four horns on either side of it's head. Not to mention, the skin was red and his eyes were bloodshot opened with a wide smile plastered on his face. He laughed as you screamed help. The manager runs back inside to grab a chair while the girls stood back and waited inside. As soon as the woman came out, she lunged the chair at the monster who was still holding you captive.

"Let her go, you satanic beast!!" The woman cried, attempting to save you from the hideous monster.

"Beast??" He looks over to your manager who stood there, frightened of his monstrous appearance. He squeezes you tight, crushing your body out of anger and confusion.

"You dare call me a beast!??" The monster roared as he roughly slams you to the ground. You coughed, gasping for air.

"I will show you what I am capable of!!" The foreign creature swung and slapped your manager across the face and sent her flying away, and possibly to her own grave.

You watched it all happen. You were devastated as to what you just saw. It was unbelievable. You couldn't comprehend of what was going on and why this was happening to you. The monster went after the beaten woman to finish her off however, you stopped him by grabbing his ankle.

"Hm?" He turns around to see your face seething with anger and fury. He had almost forgotten about you for a little bit.

"I won't let you hurt her!" You crawled up to stand on your feet and performed your own fighting stance.

"I don't know what's going on but you'll have to go through me if you want her!! Come at me, you monster!!" You taunted him yet, deep down inside, you were shaking. You were inspired by your role model the License-less Rider. You knew that this day would come when you had to fend for yourself and others you care about. Genos wasn't there to help you like last time. All you can do is fight to your fullest and hope that you wouldn't end up dead in the end. You were prepared to feel pain.

"I'm sorry Genos!!" You shouted as you attempted to swing a punch on the torso area that was located slightly above your head.

The monster did not seem to take in any pain you had given him. Instead, it really hurt your hand that you can feel them crack once you landed your first blow. Your tears began to trickle down your cheeks, knowing that you were no match for your opponent.

"Ahahaha..... What the hell?" You sniffed and removed your fist to feel the pain sting through each finger.

"HAHAHAHA!!! PUNY HUMAN! FRESH HUMAN!" He cackled with a devilish smirk on display. You backed away, still in your fighting stance that you weren't ready to give up and run while you can.

"It's my turn!!" He spoke in a playful tone. He pulls back his fist to add more power to his incoming attack and you knew that this was going to hurt like shit.

You quickly blocked with your two forearms, however his punch was so strong that it sent you flying. You tumbled on the ground non-stop until you were at least 30 meters away from your opponent. Your forearms were going to be bruised but it did save you from getting hit in the face. Could've been worse. You were suddenly aching everywhere. And since you landed on your upper body first on the ground, you felt dizzy because gravity and your weight slammed your head into the concrete.

"I-Is.... That all you got!? You're a... Coward!!" You panted, sleeping on the ground.

Your clothes were soaked with the cement. You had scrapes on your legs and it stung when rain hits the spot.

"That's my line, fresh meat!" He chortled, making his way towards you.

"This is goodbye!!"

You thought of his last words before he lifts his foot to hover over your head area.

"This isn't how I want to die." You commented before his foot hits the ground, smashing the ground into pieces.

"Hm?" He lifts up his leg to see that you were no longer there.

Before he set foot on your head, you quickly rolled away to avoid harm and death. You managed to get some space from him and lunged at him with a fist.

"I won't go down that easy!!" You screamed as you landed a punch on him. His body was rock solid so it's no use throwing punches on him.

"Why you---!"

He grabs you and slams you into the ground. This time, it was harsher than before, which made your stomach turn and in knots. You felt like you were going to hurl but you tried to keep it in. You got on your hands and knees yet you were beat down over and over.

"Don't underestimate me, puny human!" He grabs you by the hair, pulls you upwards, then slams you once more into the ground.

You couldn't feel the blood trailing down from one side of your head that you always landed on. All you can feel was the rain washing all that blood away from your body. All you could think of was Genos. You were afraid of what'll happen to him if you leave him. You didn't want to leave him like this. He's still clueless about many things. And you were planning on telling him that he was supposed to be a hero who saves people and serve justice like Mumen Rider too. That would've made him really happy if he were to hear it from you. But....

You clenched your hands together. No matter how much of a headache you had, you still got back up, trembling in fear and bravery. You shed tears that blended in with the rain.

"I won't die! I will not yield!!" You cried.

"Then let me end this for you!" He pulls back his fist to finish you off once more.

You closed your eyes tight and pulled away, shielding your body. For some reason you took no hits although you felt a strong wind surrounding you.

"You're pathetic! You think you're strong enough to defeat him but look at you!"

You opened your eyes to see a green glowing light. A young petite girl with a face of purity. Her hair was curly and her entire garb was black. And was she.... Scowling you?

"All bloody and beaten into a pulp. How idiotic! You can't play the role of a hero! You're just a coward!" She glared at you.

"W-Where's...?" You searched around to see that the monster you fought was no longer in sight. You wondered where he had gone. You noticed that the weather had stopped raining.

"What do you think, idiot girl!? Of course I had to perish him all by myself! You should thank me for---"

You ran past the little girl, not comprehending the situation. You had to go after your manager who tried to save you.

"A-Are you ignoring me???" She yells in the background as you attempted to wake the woman.

"Can you hear me?" You tried to speak to her.

"....... Huh? What happened?" Your manager lifts her upper body to feel her head.

"What was... What happened to your head!" She quickly examines your wounds.

"(FIRST)!!"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the ambulance came, they took care of your manager. You were glad that the girls were safe. No harm was done. As for you, Genos didn't want them to tend your wounds. Feeling ashamed of not knowing how much danger you were in, he carried you like before, apologizing all the way back home. As soon as you reached your room, Genos props you on your bed, lifting up the hem of your skirt, which caused you to yelp and pull them back down.

"S-Sorry.." Genos sounded as if he was the one in pain as he grabs your first aid kit, searching for bandages and burning alcohol. He cleaned your forehead that was covered in blood. As soon as he bandaged your head, he can see that the blood was still seeping through the fabric. Genos truly believed that he was at fault this entire time. He was extremely worried of how you would think of him now. It was quiet and awkward between the two of you. Genos cleared his throat, feeling nervous because you haven't said anything ever since he brought you back. He took a deep breath, trying to fight back a liquid substance that was dying to seep from his eye socket.

"...... I know that I don't deserve your forgiveness but..."

You can hear his voice crack as he tried to speak.

"B-But please..... Please don't hate me." Genos pleaded as he looks down, holding your hand. His voice was shaking that it made you feel sympathy for the kid.

You stared at the emotional cyborg and grabbed his head to embrace him.

"Oh, Genos come here..." You spoke in a soft voice, caressing his bed of hair. Strangely, you can feel him tremble under your touch. He was silently sobbing, clenching onto your hand, desperate for your love.

"*Hic* I'm sorry.... I'm so sorry... P-Please don't hate me..."
