When you got home, you stripped off your jacket and jumped on your bed to snuggle while Genos set down the bags of groceries on the coffee table. He gazes over your sleeping form with an idea. He lunges onto the small bed, attempting to imitate you, sleeping beside you which startled you, yet you stayed motionless. He wondered why this sleeping position was utterly comfortable.

"May I ask a question, (First)?" He softly spoke in your ear.

"Hm." You hummed a yes.

"Can you breathe in that position? You seem like you're suffocating." Genos indicated.

Your face was obviously faced downward in your soft sheets yet you ignored the disability to properly breathe. With that, you took a deep breath and exhaled a groan.

"You don't have to worry about me, Genos. I like laying down this way." You lifted up your head, finally able to inhale the clear air.

"You could've died, you know."

"But I didn't, silly." You went back into position, sniffing your natural scent in your sheets, releasing tension in your body into relaxation mode... Until your cellphone rings.

It interrupts your brief beauty sleep, causing you to moan like a lifeless corpse. Your cell was far beyond your reach and you didn't want to move at all.

"Genos, could you get the phone for me?" You asked.

"Understood." He nods before slipping out of your bed, searching your jacket for your cell.

Without your consent, Genos answered the phone in a quiet tone.

"Yes?.... (First)?... No..." He mumbled as he stood there, speaking to the caller.

"..... She's right here. She's in a bad sleeping position which strangely seems to be comfortable so if you don't have anything important please do not call her cell phone ever again. You're wasting her time, thank you--"

You shot up, hearing the cyborg speak in such a slightly rude manner towards the speaker of the cell. Afraid that it might be the hospital calling, you snatched the phone away and walked a couple steps from Genos to get some personal space.

"A-Ah yeah this is (First) speaking and who am I speaking with? Please excuse my friend back there, he doesn't know what's going on ahahahaa..." You awkwardly spoke.

"Ah, (First) how are you feeling?"

It was the sound of your manager speaking.

"I'm doing great thanks for asking~! How about you? Are you feeling any better?" You replied as Genos leaned in close to listen to the conversation.

"I'm still stuck here in the hospital, that's for sure. But I'm doing fine. I'm just calling to check up on ya like the rest of the girls. Seems like they were going on and off about some 'cyborg prince' showing up at the cafe haha." She giggled.

"O-Oh that--"

"Is she talking about me?" Genos interfered.

"Hang on a sec, Genos--- Ah, when do you think you're going to come back to the cafe?" You asked.

"A couple days from now, hopefully." She answered.

"Oh that's great news! We all miss you very much!" You responded with delight.

"I miss you all too. Well, I'm gonna go to sleep and get some rest to speed up my recovery. Don't know if that'll work but we'll see soon enough. Goodnight, (First). I just wanna make sure that you're fine and well."

"Thanks for calling me! Hope to see you soon! Get well! Goodnight." You smiled before turning off your cell.

You turned around to give Genos a confused look.

"Genos, when people call, please don't tell them that they are wasting my time. If they are, it's fine either way." You explained.

"But, you looked so peaceful, I didn't want anyone to disrupt you at all." Genos reached out to grab your hand, trying to understand where you're coming from.

"Next time, just let me do all the talking, kiddo." You sighed. You couldn't help but ruffle his fluffy hair as you stood on your tiptoes.

"I understand. I'm very sorry. I apologize for being despicable." His head turns down in shame.

"Okay, first of all, I have no idea where that came from. And second, don't be so harsh on yourself. You're not despicable, you're just a clueless, innocent cinnamon bun." You commented, patting his shoulder for comfort.

"Clueless... Innocent... Cinnamon bun?"

"Yeah. Just look at you! You're so adorable I just wanna pinch your cheeks 'cuz you're a cute 'wittle' cinnamon bun!" You puckered your lips together and gently squished Genos's cheeks together with your palms.

"Okay." He accepted, allowing you to sway his head left and right.

"Genos is a cutey~ A Cutey cutey~" You sang. He smiled at your little rhythmic chant and chuckled.

You stopped for a moment to let him laugh out his heart. He threw his head back and laughed louder. Oh how you adored his sweet baby face yet---

You noticed that Genos began to frown as he continued to laugh. Tears started forming in his eyes as he tried to hide them yet he couldn't. His laughter gradually turned into a sob. He was bawling his eyes out. He bowed his head low, audibly crying in front of you.

"H-Hey what's wrong? Are you okay?" You showed signs of concern which made Genos enter a depressed phase.

"I want to be with you a little longer...." He croaked, wiping his falling tears as they continued to trickle down like an endless waterfall.

You didn't understand his sudden statement at all. You didn't know what to do to calm him down.

"What do you mean by that, Genos? I'm right here and I'm going nowhere. See? This is our home, silly. So don't cry, okay?"

Your statement did not stop him from bawling. He continued on wards, telling you that he wanted to stay with you longer. Having little options left, you decided to bring him close to you and embrace him.

"Do you wanna sleep?"

He nods in response, clinging onto you.

"Okay, kiddo. Let's jump in. C'mon." You motioned him to settle on your bed as you followed him. You got under covers as did he.

"Goodnight, Kiddo. Sweet dreams." You whispered, wiping his final tears away from his face.

And that was the last thing you said to him before his entire system shut down.
