Now that weekend is over, everyone was back to their busy routines. Slightly late on their way to school, between Courtlen, Chresanto and Kiloni, the car was dead silent. Chres didn't understand why so he asked Kiloni when they got to the school. Kiloni slammed the car door and walked fastly into school. "Hey wait up!" Chresanto shouted chasing her. Finally, he caught up and tugged her arm. "Hey! Why are you mad at me?" Kiloni tugged her arm back and groaned. "Don't touch me, Chresanto."

"What did I do?"

"Just.. leave me alone. Okay?" Kiloni began to walk away and go to class. "Is it about the kiss?" Chresanto asked loudly. Kiloni stopped in her tracks and turned around with a mean glare. "Forget it ever happened," she said, and continued onto class. Chresanto was confused at the fact that Kiloni suddenly hated him, yet also quite hurt about it. He let out a deep sigh and went to class as well. From a distance, Courtlen saw the whole thing. It's his fault that something so good was going so bad. He felt ashamed for it but shrugged the feeling off for the day.

Courtlen walked slow to class and stopped to stare out a window in the hallway. Out of nowhere, someone popped up behind him. "Hey!" It was Abby. "Sup.." he replied saddened. "What's wrong with you?"

"I did something bad.."

"That's not new."

"No, I mean something really bad. Really mean."

"Oh my God. Is this real? Courtlen Lee has a conscience?"

"Shut up, I'm serious."

"Well, what did you do?" Courtlen paused and didn't answer. "WELL?" Abby repeated. "I can't say.. can you come over later and chill? I need to get my mind off this shit.."

"What's that gotta do with me? And what about everyone else?"

"It's just gonna be me. Kiloni's gonna tutor, Chres is gonna be with my mom at work and my pops is at work too. No worries. Plus I wasn't done with you.." Courtlen explained, getting close to Abby. He kissed the side of her neck and licked near her ear. Since there was no real chance of getting caught, she agreed to go.

Later in the school day, Chresanto was lost in class, thinking about Kiloni. Bringing him back to reality, was his teacher constantly calling his name. "CHRESANTO!"
"Huh? What?" His teacher let out a deep groan as the class snickered. " I saaaaid.. I'm pairing you up wih Roshon for the rest of the class. Do the problems on the board and show all your work." Chresanto looked at Roshon across the room and walked to the chair next to him. Roshon was a quiet boy with glasses; he's one of the smartest people in the school, but he's too quiet for people to notice. "Sup?" Chresanto asked. Roshon nodded his head and slid a piece of paper to Chresanto. It was all the answers to the problems, with the work and all. "Wow! You didn't really need to do that, I would've helped."

"It was easy, I didn't need help.." Roshon mumbled. "Really? Well.. can you help me out then? I'm not good at this.. at any school work, actually."
Roshon was surprised. No one ever really talked to him, let alone asked for his help. "Um, sure! Tomorrow afterschool?"

"Cool.. now tell me, how did you get this answer? I mean, it has letters in it, but it's math.." Roshon chuckled and began explaining everything to Chresanto. It seemed like he made a friend.

At lunch, Chresanto didn't see Kiloni anywhere. To him, this meant she was on the roof. Going to look for her, his prediction was right. He found her sitting on one of the vents, with a metal pin, paper and a lighter in her hands. She was burning herself on the wrists. "What are you doing, Loni?"

"Leave me alone.." Chresanto snatched the items out her hands and held them up high. Since she couldn't reach them and take them back, she started hitting Chres and getting upset. "Give me my stuff back, you asshole!"
