[A/N: Wattpad is being weird right now so I had delete and repost this chapter. In other news, remember that story is ending soon. It's not set in stone just yet but the last chapter is either the next or the chapter after the next. After that, there's gonna be a new story so.. cool.]

Abby was into her tenth hour of labor. Overtime, Courtlen became more practical with the situation and stayed focused on Abby. It was just a matter of time that the baby was going to born. She practically was sweating with every breath she took. "Courtlen, why did you do this to meeee?" Abby cried. "It's a little too late to be asking that, girl." Abby loudly groaned with pain. For another eight hours, this continued on.

. . .

"Push, Abby! You're almost there! Come on, come on!" The doctor continued to shout. With that being said, Abby would just yell even louder. The whole time, she gripped on Courtlen's and Michelle's hand. Courtlen started to screaming himself, simply because Abby was holding on to his hand so tight that it could break, and the fact that his first child was being born. "I see a head, just keep pushing!" the doctor added. After a couple more pushes, it happened. Cries were being heard and the doctor at the end of the bed was holding a very small baby girl. Abby and Courtlen stopped screaming and panted out a sigh of relief. The doctor at the end of the bed handed the baby to a nurse to get cleaned off. He turned back to Abby, "okay here comes the next one." The two teens' eyes bulged out their heads, as well as Michelle. "The next one?!" they asked in union. "Yes! Push, Abby, push!" The screaming began all over again and shouting out 'push.' Eventually, a second baby entered the world but instead of a girl, it was a boy. Besides all the chaos going on in the room, Courtlen was greatful to finally and officially be a father. After the babies were delivered, they were cleaned and sent to the NICU and put into incubators. What this all meant was that since they were premature, they weren't completely developed. They were put into incubators to finish developing to become healthy enough to go home.

As Courtlen looked at the babies in the incubators, it started to hit him. He saw that the babies needed a machine just to be able to breathe. At this point, he felt like his job was to protect the twins. Being a new dad, the only thing that mattered to him was keeping the babies out of harm's way. Going back to the room with Abby, he stayed by her bedside. He held her hand as she tried to rest. She laid back in bed with her eyes, practically closed. "Two babies.. wow.." she slowly said. She was exhausted and her health was starting to come towards danger. Not only did she have her children sooner than expected but there was another child that she didn't even know about. Courtlen rubbed her knuckles with his thumb as he held her hand, "Imani is the girl. What's our name for the boy?"

"..Aidan is.. nice.." Abby tried to smiled but even that, she had no energy to do. "Imani and Aidan.. I like it."

"Imani.. Michelle.." Courtlen paused then smiled. "That's perfect.. get some rest, aight Abby?"

"Mhm.." Courtlen set her hand back on her side and made his way out the room. Outside the room sat Michelle, reading a book. Courtlen rolled up in front of her, "did you see them?"

"They're beautiful.. do they have names yet?"

"Imani Michelle and Aidan.." She looked up from her book to look at Courtlen and smiled. "What's Aidan's middle name then?"

"Daniel.. because Jordan was already used and Dan would sound dumb." Michelle nodded, "Good choice. Those names are perfect."

"Word.. Ma, I know what I wanna do. Forreal, this time." Michelle closed her book and gave Courtlen her full attention. "I wanna be a cop. Then I can keep my fam safe all the time. Even you, ma, don't worry. It sounds kinda dumb 'cuz of the wheelchair and stuff but it's possible, right?" Michelle put her hand on Courtlen's shoulder and got closer, "this wheelchair shouldn't limit you from keeping your family safe. If you believe you can do it and promise yourself that you'll commit, then do it." Courtlen smiled and hugged his mom. "Thank you.."
