At the hospital, Jordan requested to not come back due to his condition. He told his boss that he wasn't lasting long so he picked up his last paycheck and was on his way home early. At this point, he decided that he no longer wanted treatment and wanted to let nature take its course. Even though he was running out of time, he wanted to make the most of what he had and change his ways rather than suffering in the hospital.

Jordan arrived at home before anyone else did, but school was ending soon anyways. After school, Chresanto stayed at school for practice and Courtlen and Kiloni went home, just not together; Kiloni was still upset with him so she took the bus as he drove his way home. She was the type to hold a grudge but still go on with her life as if there was no grudge at all, but only until she's had enough. When she would reach her limits, Loni would go off.

Jordan sat on the couch with his feet up, watching tv, waiting for his children. Finally, he heard the sound of someone pulling up in his driveway and shutting their door. Soon after, the front door was unlocking and Courtlen walked in. As soon as he walked in the house, he had a confused look on his face when he saw his father. "Dad? What are you doing here?" he asked, closing the door behind him. "I live here, don't I?"

"Ya but.. you ain't never here. Especially this early."

"Yea well, I don't have to work anymore. I'm too sick to do anything so I'll be staying home."

"Oh word.. how you been?"

"I'm getting by.. but y'all barely visit me anymore, I'm out the loop on almost everything and all that." It clicked in Courtlen's head that his dad probably doesn't know about Abby or anything of his wrong doings. So far, he was on a clean slate so he just went with it. "Nah, you ain't miss much."

After a while, Courtlen went to his room and stayed there. When he left, Kiloni came home. Seeing her dad, she instantly got happy. "Daddy!" she shouted, running in to hug her dad. "What are you doing here? Normally you're at work at this time."

"I'm taking a break, this tumor nonsense is wearing me out so I'm staying home for a while."

"Oh okay. I'm sorry for not visiting you at the hospital, I haven't had time and you never came home and-"

"It's okay.. at least you were the only one who would text me messages so I appreciate the attention.. why didn't you come home with Courtlen?" Kiloni's face turned into an angry frown. "Just because.." she mumbled. Kiloni saved the news for later; seeing her dad this way, she thought that telling him about Courtlen would make things worse. Kiloni went upstairs to finish up her homework. When she finished, she stopped by Courtlen's room. Kiloni walked in with a bland attitude, "I need a favor." Courtlen looked at her from his desk chair with a stank face. "Don't you hate me? Fuck off somewhere."

"I don't want dad knowing about your bullshit mess. For now, just pretend everything's okay for his sake.. he's already sick so don't make it worse." Courtlen paused and let out a deep sigh, "ugh.. fine."

After practice, Roshon made his way to check on Ilianeliz to see if everything was okay. He knocked on her door and waited a couple moments then the door finally opened. It was her mom. "Yes?" she asked nicely. She had a thick hispanic accent and looked hella young to be a mom. "Hello, I'm here to see Ilianeliz. I'm a friend of hers.."

"Ahh okay, hold on." Her mom stepped inside the house and began to yell for her. "Ilianeliz, uno de tus amigos is here!" She looked back Roshon and smiled, "she's coming.." Her mom walked away as Ili slumped to the door in a hoodie, sweats and slippers. In all honesty, she looked a mess. As soon as she saw her friend, she gasped and gave him a big hug. "I'm so sorry I haven't hit you up or answer your texts.. come sit," she said, sitting on her front steps. "I've been worried sick, I thought you died or something so I had to come over."

"Yea well.. I haven't talked to anyone but my mom, really. Not even my girlfriend."

"What happened? I mean, you look like alot of things; scared, tired, etc etc."

"Because I am.."

"From what?"

"I can't sleep, I barely leave my house for anything."

"Why?" Ilianeliz took a deep breath. "That last time you saw me at school, I was hanging out with Trevante afterschool, trying to let bygones be bygones. We went to the carnival and ate there then I started feeling dizzy. After that.. I remember being at someone's house and.." Ilianeliz paused and began to break down. "And I got raped by some guys. Then they threw me out on my doorstep like trash. My mom found me so I told her everything and now I'm scared shitless and I dunno what to do.."

Roshon's jaw dropped and hugged Ilianeliz. "Oh shit.. did they leave any marks on you? Who did this to you?" Ili lifted up her hoodie and pulled down the edges of her sweats, revealing dark bruises. Some were purple, others black or red, small and big. "Oh my god.." Roshon said. Ilianeliz knew 3 out of 5 of her rapists but telling Roshon would cause too much trouble. "I dunno who did this.. I wish I did tho.." At this point, Ilianeliz wanted to confront one of those boys and set them straight.

Back at home, Michelle got off work a little later than usual and Chresanto was at therapy. Jordan was still on the couch so when she came home, she would automatically see him. The thing was that she told him never to come back to the house. When she got home, she glared at him. "Why the hell are you here? Didn't you get kicked out?" she barked. "Michelle, please let me expla-"

"You don't live here and you can't keep your dick in your pants so there's not much to explain."

"I'm here because I'm close with death so I'm out of work." Michelle didn't answer but she started feeling slight sorrow. Even though she was hating Jordan, she did still love him and the fact that he was dying hurt. "Then why you here? Motels exist ya know, just tell the kids where you're at."

"I'm here to change my wrongs.. please," he pleaded. Michelle gave him a heartless look. "..that's Chresanto's bed," she said, pointing at the couch. "Why not let him sleep in Courtlen's room? Just split the matress or something and put it on the floor."

"..hm." Michelle crossed her arms and went to her room. Jordan being in the house was the least of her problems.
