Hours later the sky was dark. The main band had taken the stage. The people walking around were way more inebriated and a lot less inhibited at that point. Seeing as how RC was at that point also, I decided to take my chance to go check out the guy. I slowly backed out of the small crowd I was standing in and mouthed the words "See you later" to RC who was engaged in a hilarious one-sided conversation with some drunk right now. He nodded his head and gave me a small wave so I turned and headed in the opposite direction. I had seen the guy a little while ago hanging out in front of the water fountain by the bank so I figured I would look there first. I decided to make a pit stop at the corner cafe, which was the only business around the square that would let you use the restroom without having to buy something. By some miracle there was no line and I was able to get right into the bathroom.

I locked the door and rooted through my bag to find the pills, my lighter, and wallet. I took out a dollar and crushed a pill underneath it with my lighter on the bathroom sink. Then I used my bank card to break up the powder and make a line out of it. I rolled the dollar into a tube, pressed my left nostril closed with my finger, and sniffed the line off of the sink. I tilted my head back and inhaled deeply with my open nostril. I held my head like that for a few moments. I sniffed in real deep one more time before putting my belongings away. I put some more lip gloss on and looked at myself in the mirror. I looked normal; passable. Yeah, my pupils were all but gone, and my nose looked a wee bit irritated but I was still alright. I looked sober compared to most of the people walking around right now. Even so, looking in the mirror absolutely disgusted me. Even though I looked physically okay, I didn't like the person looking back at me. I turned away from the mirror before I had the chance to dwell on that thought and left the bathroom. As I walked out of the cafe and into the warm night air I felt the drug wash over me. That sense of having everything lifted off my shoulders hit me yet again. It felt so amazing that I almost started laughing. I could feel the smile on my face as I went in search for the guy.

There was a certain crowd that hung out by the water fountain. They were mostly alternative types, some dressed in goth gear, others dressed in scene clothes. All of them having a few screws loose. I found it funny how we all kind of gravitated toward each other. I figured the chance of the guy still being over there was pretty good. It didn't take me long to spot him, which was a relief. He was standing with two other guys similarly dressed but not as hot, smoking a cigarette and drinking a beer. I pulled out a cigarette and moved in his direction while continuing to rifle through my bag. When I was basically standing right next to him I let out a frustrated sigh. I turned to him and said "Excuse me but do you have a lighter? I can't find mine anywhere."

He turned to me and in the moments before he responded, I could see him checking me out and could tell he liked what he saw. "Yeah, sure" He said with a smile. He put his cigarette between his lips and with his free hand dug a lighter out of his pocket. When he handed me the lighter I made sure that my hand came in contact with his. Feeling his skin made my body tingle in anticipation. As I lit my cigarette I looked at his t-shirt which had an Avngenged Sevenfold logo on it. I was excited because I'd seen them before and it made striking up a conversation with him that much easier. I handed the lighter back to him, making sure to make contact again. I exhaled a stream of smoke and said "Thanks." I gave him a flirtatious smile. "No problem, " he replied, giving me a smile also. "Nice shirt by the way. I've seen them live. They're pretty good," I told him nonchalantly. I internally crossed my fingers because this was the important part. If he answered me with some monosyllabic, bored answer there wasn't any point in trying to continue a conversation. It would mean he wasn't interested and I never liked to seem desperate by grappling to find anything else to say.

"No way. They're like one of my all time favorite bands. I get shit from my friends all the time because they think A7X is a bunch of pussies," he said lighting up. As he was talking he had turned his body to face mine. At that point I knew I was in. I laughed at what he said because it was funny not just because I wanted to keep this going. "I used to be really into them. I still like their music just not as much as their old stuff. I liked them more when they still had that hardcore edge." I told him. "I'll admit that their music's not the same as it used to be but I'm still into them just as much," he replied. Up until this point the guys he was standing with had been watching us talk but now they had turned to each other and started talking amongst themselves. I took the opportunity to say "I hope I'm not interrupting you guys" knowing that by now he was probably engrossed in our conversation. He glanced at the guys and noticed that they weren't paying much attention other than to check me out for a brief moment. "Not at all," he told me.

"Cool," I started. "I'm Molly, by the way." "I'm Ben" he told me. "Hi Ben," I said to him then laughed. He laughed with me and at that moment the drug hit me with a bang. It was completely in my blood now and the force of it caused me to sway. I felt off balance for a couple seconds which Ben must have noticed because he caught my arm to steady me. "Are you okay?" he asked, looking concerned. I took a breath to center myself then told him "Yeah, I"m fine. I haven't eaten much today. I just got a little dizzy." I let out a small laugh to ease any concern he might have. "Do you want to go get something to eat?" he asked "I could use another beer." The square housed a bunch of food and beer tents on Thursday nights to make money since the concert was free. I honestly hadn't eaten much today but the drug made me completely lose my appetite. I didn't think I could eat anything without getting sick. "I'll be okay," I told him. "I'll get some food in me later. I'm totally down for getting a beer though." Ben's hand was still on my arm. I didn't pay attention to it though so that he wouldn't see me looking and move it. He smiled at me and said "Then beer it is."

We turned and started walking to the nearest tent. It was so crowded by now that you had to push your way through people. Ben wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me along beside him as he made a path for us. When we made it to the tent and got in line, I looked up into his eyes. The fact that he was taller than me even with my five inch heels was a turn on. He looked back at me and smiled. It was a warm smile that made me want him right now. I turned my face up to his and thankfully he must have been feeling the same way, because he leaned down and kissed me gently on the lips. Bolts of electricity shot through my body which were made even more intense because of my high. Just then the line cleared and it was our turn to order. Ben asked for two Bud Lights, showed the girl behind the table his I.D., and paid for us both. It was nice that he bought mine and it also sealed the deal for me. i figure that a guy must like me, or at least want me, if he's going to bother paying for me.

Ben handed me one of the beers and we turned to go back to the fountain. He wrapped his arm around me again as he led the way back. As we were walking I sipped my beer, being careful not spill it on me. In this crowd if someone passing by moved too quick I would end up soaked in beer. When we made it back to the fountain Ben kept his arm around me, then pulled me close even though we had plenty of breathing room. We both sipped our beers and then he said "Even though we just met, I really like you. Is that crazy?" He laughed at himself while I just shook my head.  I didn't care if he really did like me or just wanted to get me in bed. I was glad he put it out there however. "I don't think you're crazy at all. I really like you too." I told him. Which I really did, even if it was just for one night. I looked up at him and our eyes met. He leaned down and kissed me again. It started out gently, then got more heated as we pressed ourselves closer and our mouths opened. My body was tingling all over and I didn't want this to stop. I wanted him to keep kissing me, to kiss me all over, to whisk me away and take this even further. The last thing I remember thinking was that it was going to be a great night. Then my blackout began.
