Chapter Twenty Seven CC

            Oh my fucking god, this can’t be happening, this cannot be happening right now.

            “Jake, do you have any idea what you’re talking about?” I looked at him and saw almost every emotion in his eyes, but mostly I saw love and anger.

            “Yeah, I love Raven CC.”

            “But Jake, are you sure that you’re not jealous of Andy? Because he has a girlfriend and the four of us don’t?” Please don’t let Jake be in love with Raven, please don’t let him be in love with Raven, please don’t! I chanted in my head hoping that it would go straight to his mind and make him realize that he wasn’t in love with Raven.

            “I’m jealous of him because he’s with Raven CC, she should be my girlfriend. Besides, Andy falls in love fast and always gets his heart broken in the end.  He has girls almost at his beck and call. He could have anyone but he picks Raven. I just want to be able to do the things Andy does with her CC.”  Jake’s voice got lower until he was whispering at the end. I felt sorry for him, but he should have done something in the beginning to get Raven’s attention. It was too late now, Raven and Andy are happy.

             “And it’s my fault that they’re even together. I should have never told Raven that we were leaving.” Wait, heartbroken Jake say what?

            “Jake,” I said slowly, “what the hell are you talking about?”

            “I told Raven that we were leaving when she ran off our bus. I followed her to her place and told her and lied to you guys about it. If she didn’t come Andy and I wouldn’t fight for her and Andy would find someone else over time. But Raven came back and I still love her and she’s out there with Andy.” Jake covered his face with his hands as I looked at him.

            So that’s why Raven didn’t come back, that’s why we were miserable especially Andy who got drunk so many times. Who was paranoid and thought he saw Raven wherever he went.

            “Why would you do that? Don’t you care about Andy? How could you not say anything when we were miserable without Raven? Andy practically killed himself because he got himself so drunk at times because Raven upped and left as you told us!” I got out of his bunk and headed towards the living room when an arm grabbed me.

            “Don’t blame me CC. We only knew her for one freaking day and he was head over heels in love with her. I was doing what I thought was best for the band okay.”

            “What you thought was best for the band? Bullshit Jake! If you love someone you don’t tell them the truth and lie to you friends about what happened. You don’t push them away from you! And if you thought Andy had fallen in love with Raven that fast you should have talked to the rest of us so we could tell him to slow down, so he doesn’t get hurt, instead of taking matters into your own fucking hands!” Pulling my arm out of his hold I walked out into the living not realizing who was in it and tripping over something.

            “The hell that was a great exit and this happens.” Shaking my head I stood up and picked up the guitar that I had tripped on. Noticing that it was Ashley’s porn bass and that my thumb was covering one of the girls boobs I set it down on the couch before turning around.

            And standing there was one of the people that Jake and I had been talking about.
