Well here it is guys, the last and final chapter of Saviour. :(
Raven
Standing in front of the door I rocked back and forth on my heels waiting for him to answer the door. I wasn't going to hold my breath though.
"I don't see why you don't just walk in. You still have your key right?" CC asked. The guys refused to let me come home by myself. Looking over at CC I glared at him to the point that his own eyes widened as he cowered behind Jinxx.
"It's not polite to just barge in," I snapped. I bit my cheek as I heard Jake snort at my comment. With Andy lightly squeezing my shoulder I muttered a soft sorry and let out a big breath. Closing my eyes I leaned against Andy as I counted down the minutes until we could leave.
"Maybe we should just go through your window and start packing," Andy suggested loud enough for all of us to hear. Nodding my head I followed them down to the sidewalk. It was a bad idea coming here, he would never change.
"Raven?" Stopping I lifted my head and turned towards the now open door with the man standing there confused. He didn't look the same as he did when I left two three months ago. His brown hair wasn't tangled and matted; it actually was cut to a healthy state as it didn't seem greasy anymore. His shirt didn't have as many stains as before and looked like he showered. He looked like he was alive again.
Completely turning around I stopped at the stairs and crossed my arms. "Hey."
We stared at each other before finding something to say. "Your hair, it's blond."
I nodded my head, "Yeah but not for long. You look, good." I managed. Feeling Andy's hand touch my back I straightened my back so I was standing tall, he gave me the confidence that I needed so much.
"Yeah," he said, clearing his throat, looking at the guys. "Are these them, the guys you mentioned in the letter?"
"You read it?" I asked shocked.
He nodded his head looking slightly uncomfortable. "Yeah, and the one you left behind. Why don't you guys come in?" Moving away from the door he opened it further to let us in. He looked almost happy that I was back. But my father is good at hiding his emotions, I learned from him. Looking up at Andy who, like my father masked his emotion from his face but unlike my father I knew he was surprised. His eyes lied from his collected and calm face. This man standing in the doorway wasn't the one he met when he spent the night. This man was completely and utterly different.
The man, who I couldn't find the words to say dad and decided to call him Frank, waited inside the house with a door wide open that I found closed shut for two years after my mother's death.
Taking a deep breath in and with the courage Andy gave me I was able to walk into the house. I was relieved when I heard the heavy footsteps of Jake, Jinxx, Ash and CC that followed behind Andy and I, they weren't going to leave us alone. Once in the room I was met with another surprise. The living room where my father had once spent sitting on an old and ratted couch watching TV for hours with trash on the floor and coffee table, was now clean. The dust where I drew on the TV was gone.
I clutched Andy's hand as I watched Frank flutter about; muttering apologizes about the house not being cleaner. Blinking my eyes it took everything I had to not start crying then and there as I saw the drastic changes that lay before me. Noticing the tears that were building up Andy pressed his lips against my forehead as he wrapped his arm around my waist pulling my body close to his. As I continued to look around I noticed that Frank was watching us, his eyebrows furrowed together as his eyes mixed with confusion and anger.
Why was he angry?
"Is there anything I can get you, water, or soda...beer?" Frank's eyes lingered on Andy a second too long before looking at the guys
