To save yourself from lots of disappointment in the end, I suggest you don't read this book. It ends before finishing because it isn't all that good.

Peridot's pov~

"Hey Peridot, want to meet up with Connie?" Steven asked me. "I'm supposed to be working on the drill..." I mumbled, "And I shouldn't have to! After all, I did tell you all about the cluster." They had leashed me up... Again...
"Garnet told me I can bring you too if I keep an eye on you." Steven grinned hopefully, "And if you agree, of course." He added. "Fine... Anything to get off this dumb leash." I grumbled. "Don't be so grumpy," he said as he got me off the leash. I tried to run off but he grabbed my arm.
So we went to meet up with the Connie. We met at the beach by the boat dock. "Hi Steven!" The 'Connie' said. Steven greeted her back and hugged her. I watched, interested. So this is human interaction? It's so simple and idiotic...
"And this is Peridot!" Steven's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. Connie smiled warmly at me, and I found myself smiling sheepishly back. Maybe human interaction did have a slight effect on me, so what?
It's still idiotic. Steven tugged on my arm and I found myself walking along the beach with them. I then decided to look over Connie some more. Her uniform was... Interesting, to say the least, she was wearing a suit that cut off at her thighs, and shoulders, and a piece of headgear I assumed was supposed to protect from the sun.
I noticed Steven's uniform was off too. Instead of his blue bottoms, he had shorter black bottoms made of different material. He had his normal shirt on, though.
"Hey Peridot, want to swim with us?" Connie asked. "Yeah, try it! It's fun!" Steven added, his eyes twinkling with hope. "Swim?" I asked hesitantly, "What is swim?"

So that's done! That took a while, but it was worth it. Yay! I love you, my fabs!!!
