You know, I kind of imagine Peridot in this fanfic a bit taller than Steven. While Steven in this fanfic to me is about to Gregs chest, Peridot is to his shoulders. In the sequel, (yes, I am planning on doing a sequel) Peridot will be like a short adult, but a little taller due to a new effect homeworld started adding to gems after the crystal gems left homeworld. Steven will be Gregs height, but nothing like what he looked like in the episode he made himself older. ONTO THE STORY~

(Connie's pov🙂~)

Jealousy. It blinds you like the sun. My sun is Steven. I stared at him too long, and when someone tries to steal my light, I fought back blindly. I was so scared that I was losing Steven, but now I realize...

This isn't what you do to someone you love! I was being so selfish, because I wanted Steven for myself. And my parents raised me better. The guilt of what I did to Peridot isn't worth it. But again, I'm scared. What if she doesn't accept my apology? What if she gets mad at me and tells Steven what I did? What if she hates me more? The questions are burning through my mind like a hot iron, I guess this is what happens if you stare at the sun for too long.

(Muffins pov😸~)

I wondered around Beach City, meowing irritatedly. Where is the green human? I miss her! And I ran out of food, too. All the others went away. Maybe they went to find her? Maybe she left because she thought no one wanted her and was scared someone would be mad because they found out she loved them. Yeah, that's probably it. And the others will bring her back soon! But just in case they're not back for a while I'm going to go find some food.

(Now the moment you've all been waiting for... PERIDOTS POV🤗~)

I stared, frightened at the huge, looming gem in front of me. She looked so mad, you could kill her whole army and she couldn't get any more angry. "You still have diamonds on your clothing? You don't deserve those!" She growled at me. I must've looked like I wanted to say something back, because she said "Go ahead, say something. Your already a traitor."

"Well it's not my fault you never taught us how to change our clothing! Besides, this isn't even attached to my body, it's a specialized suit that can go into your gem with you. All you had them train me was how to work a kindergarten and deal with my settling!" I yelled at her. Yellow Diamond chuckled. "Put them in the nightmare cells. Together, I will say they should spend their last moments together. Make sure the their all in a cell they can't get out even working together. Yes, the retreated gems too." Yellow Diamond told Emerald.

"Follow my lead." Emerald whispered to me as she grabbed the back of my suit and shoved me towards the elevator. I looked back and saw her grab Stevens hand. Emerald whispered something to him, and he started to smile. Emerald shoved us into the elevator and instead of -8, where the nightmare cells are, she pushed one.

"Hybrid, you have better working pockets than I do, put the gems in them." She shoved all the gems into Stevens hand. Steven shoved 3 into one pocket, 3 into the other. We stopped at practically every room, but luckily only one or two gems got on and pushed a number below. Emerald crouched down a little once again to whisper to us. "When we make it to one, make a run for it through the city towards the ship chargers." Steven nodded, so I assume he knew what they were, and I nodded too.

      (45 minutes later)

Finally, floor one. As the elevator opened up Emerald charged through the Yellow Hall towards the door. Me and Steven were able to keep up with her somehow despite her speed. We were all panting by the time we even got close to the ship. I could see her ship on the charger a few ships down. Emerald sprinted towards it along with us and pulled out her keys. She pressed a button on them and jumped in, turning around to help me and Steven up into the ship.
