Hey guys, I'm sorry if this sucks but I hit my head and I'm feeling dizzy and lightheaded. Also, please do me a favor and check out my art book. Maybe request something for me to draw. Also, the real plot of the book might be coming out soon, probably next chapter something will start to happen that leads to my idea. Thanks!

Stevens pov👊😛~

Me and Connie took a break from practice, being tired and sweaty. We went to get drinks from the fry stand, but when I turned to get Peridot, she wasn't there. Neither was Keito, the boy she was hanging out with. I felt a sting of betrayal at the possibility that Peridot left with Keito.

"Connie, I need to go find Peridot!" I told her, my voice full of panic. "Why? Can't you just stay here with me?" She crossed her arms and pouted. "I would, but I have to find Peridot! She might be lost or gotten herself into trouble!" My brain was scanning a million more possibilities, some I knew probably wouldn't happen.

But who knew with Peridot?

Peridot's pov👽~

Keito had taken me into the woods, saying it would be fun and the nature would be pretty, since it is the human season spring. This forest was filled with lots of different types of trees, especially what I remember from my information log on my attachable arms to be a pine tree.

There were soft pine needles laying on the ground everywhere, and I had the temptation to sleep in them, there were big giant rocks in some places, moss covering them like they were hiding under it for protection.

Keito grabbed my hand and my mind flashed to Steven for a second and I felt my eyes get wet. I blinked it away.  "Why do you even hang out with Steven?" The question Keito asked made me jerk my head over to him in surprise.

"W-what?" I stuttered. "Why do you even hang out with him? I mean, it's obvious he likes Connie. And he doesn't even realize you like him. He doesn't deserve you!" Keito raised his voice at the last second, and I flinched.

"Yes he does." I said quietly, but somehow he heard it. "Does he? Have you ever thought about that? Maybe someone else does!" He snapped. "YES HE DOES! Steven is kind and patient and would never hurt anybody! He's been there for me and I'll be there for him to make it up to him!" I yelled.

My mind was telling me one for thing about him, but I decided not to say it. It was that I love him. Keito glared at me, and stepped forward threateningly. My eyes widened as I realized he might attack me. He knows, and he hates it. He doesn't want me to love Steven.

But why not? I took a step back. He took two slow steps forward I tried to take another step back, but I tripped over something and fell. I scrambled up and ran away. I could hear him, his footsteps getting faster and closer. I almost ran into a tree, but stopped, thank goodness.

I could still see the place we were before, as he pinned me to the tree. "Your not going away." Keito smiled manically. I squirmed and whimpered, but he held me still. I saw a flash of red, with gold in the middle. Stevens shirt. Steven was here. I smirked at Keito. "What?" He growled. I kept smirking. He glared at me.

I saw Steven hiding in the bushes a few yards away from us. He summoned his shield and threw it at Keito. It hit Keito in the head and Keito fell over, clutching his head. I turned to Steven. "How much did you hear?" I whispered, my heart beating nervously. "All of it." He replied, glaring at Keito, who was still clutching his head.

I felt my heart drop. Now he probably knows. He looked up at me, but I couldn't see what expression was on his face, water was filling my eyes and pouring out. I sniffled and started to run away again. Because that's what I do. I either give up, or run away.

Italics=flashback

"Let's see if you can summon your weapon yet..." A tall Erinite said to me. She tapped her device with her slim fingers every once in a while. Erinites were always tall, a bit taller than Pearls and had lots of different shades of green and teal. This Erinite had a square gem on the nape of her neck. She acted bored and as if she cared about nothing, but seemed to have a glimmer of intelligence and creativity in her eyes.

But I didn't really care. I wasn't meant to. I was being tested right now. "One question, does whether I can summon my weapon or not effect the outcome of the test?" I asked, sort of nervous. "No, we just want to know whether you can or not." Erinite replied, "Your passing so far."

I strained to summon my weapon, and my gem glowed, but when I tried to summon it, it faded away and nothing happened. Erinite tapped her device once again and told me to follow her. I followed her and she gave me some limb enhancers. I needed help putting them on, so she had her Pearl help me. When I had them on, she lead me to my ship.

Yes, that's right, I GET TO DRIVE A SHIP!!! She told me my mission and left me with my colleague, a large Jasper. Time to go to earth!
