Chapter 22

Emeralds pov😬~

I sigh shakily right after I remove my hands from the control board. We had finally landed on Earth, at the place the hybrid and other gems reside. I brush my hair out of my eyes and stand up from my sitting position, wincing as I feel an ache in both my legs from sitting for so long. It will feel better later, no problem.

    I press the button on the wall next to the door hatch. It's there for emergency, like in case you lose your keys, but I use it anyways. No use digging out my keys. The two gems and the hybrid are jittering with excitement, probably for being home. I hop out the ship and so do the others.

Peridot's pov🍚~

Steven hugs me tightly, and we both smile at each other's faces that are about one inch away. I start to giggle, probably because I'm so... Happy! Amethyst scoops the rest of the gems out of Stevens pocket and walks away to put the in the temple. I can see a smile on her face too. But back to Steven and I!

"We're home, Peri," Steven says softly, "Tell me what you were afraid of."
"Follow me..." I say, trying with all my willpower to stop being afraid. I break our embrace and grab his hand, then I lead him up to the cliff beside the barn. There was fence there from when Amethyst fell off. It was still dawn, the Stars were just going away. "If your too afraid to tell me, just pick a song on my phone to explain it. I have lots from the ITunes cards I got for my birthday." Steven told me, handing me his phone. I remember one time he showed me some songs on his 'phone'.

I picked "All of Me". It was a pretty good song, and described that I loved him too. I sang softly to the song as it started.

"What would I do without your smart mouth, drawing me in and you kicking me out. Got my head spinning, no kidding, I can't pin you down. What's going on in that beautiful mind, I'm on your magical mystery ride. And I'm so dizzy, don't know what hit me, but I'll be all right. My heads under water but I'm breathing fine. Your crazy and I'm out of my mind." I sang.
Steven started to sing with me.
"'Cause all of me, loves all of you. Love your curves and all your edges, all your perfect imperfections. Give your all to me, I give my all to you."

Steven helped me up from my sitting position, and we started to dance. Steven spun me, then I grabbed his shoulders as he grabbed my waist and lifted me. He put me back down only to dip me. We stared into each other's eyes, our gems glowing. Before you know it, we're leaning closer... And closer...

Steven plants his lips on mine as our bodies glow brighter.
