0~0' i'm so sorry for such a long authors note last time! I just got carried away! I made an extra long chapter to make it up.

Stevens pov🌠~

"Then why were you scared?" I felt tears start to well up in my eyes. Peridot had gotten hurt, and it was all my fault for not paying attention when she was with Keito. Peridot sighed shakily, and shifted nervously. "I don't want to.... I would rather not tell you." Peridot told me. I looped my arms around her waist and pulled her into me for a hug. Peridot put her arms around my neck and hugged me back, with her head in the nape of my neck. Her hair squished up against my chin. I didn't mind, though, her hair was soft and warm and comfortable.

(Time skip brought to you by Peridot and Steven taking a nap while hugging, also about 2 hours later)

"Stop sleeping! We're here!" We were awakened by the sound of Emerald's voice, sounding slightly excited. "And don't worry, Steven, homeworld has oxygen. We found that out when we did several tests before we went to get Peridot in case there was a human that stood in our way. Oh, sorry I'm ranting."

She pressed a button on the wall and the same door we got in the ship through opened up. We stepped out as she motioned us to. My mouth gaped open at the sight. Hundreds, no, thousands of gems scuttled around the gem city. There were billboards that advertised gem related products in English, somehow, and there were looming towers that looked like apartments, and there were stores, one selling same pattern suits with diamonds on them. Most of them were identical to Peridot's. I looked back at the ship and realized it had landed on some sort of ship pad and was now glowing a bright green. Probably charging or something.

A crowd of gems had gathered around and was shouting at us angrily. Emerald held the crystal gems above her head (poofed of course).
"The Crystal gems are defeated!" She shouted. The crowd of gems cheered in a vengeful happiness. I winced at their brutality as they chanted to smash them or to shatter them.

Emerald put the gems in her suit pocket and grabbed our hands. She pulled us through the crowd of violent bloodthirsty gems in the direction of a huge, castle like tower that we could see even behind all the other tall towers. It looked like we had some walking to do.

(Peridot's pov💚~)

I started to tremble in fear as Emerald lead us towards Yellow Diamonds home. I had been there before. In fact, I was made in the factory center it had. It wasn't a real factory, it was a place gems were grown. Like a kindergarten, but with more tests. And shattering if you don't pass. Thank goodness weapon doesn't count, they just give you a protector on whatever mission your on. Unless your meant to build ships, they don't care what happens then.

If your lucky when assigned building ships, they'll shatter you before your first day. How would I know? I knew a Peridot that was assigned building. Well, not knew, but I had met her before my tests. She told me about the vicious Jaspers that snapped at you and punished you harshly by beating you if you didn't work as fast as they wanted.

I was definitely lucky. I glanced at Steven. Yes, I was.

(Emeralds pov😑~)

We're here. Finally. That was such a long walk. The door Pearl looked me up and down before asking politely for my ID. I let go of the hybrids hand, then reached into my pocket and grabbed my ID, showing it to her and putting it back after she had taken a good look at it. She opened the door for me and the traitors after I had taken the hybrids hand again. I felt the traitor Peridot start to tremble again, but this time I felt a prick of guilt as I looked at the yellow hall. The yellow hall is a huge room with lots of doors and one huge elevator. It has a fountain in the middle with clear water. Everything is yellow in the yellow hall except for the water.

I lead the two traitors into the elevator and pushed the button for the highest room, 62. Yellow Diamonds room. A bunch of other gems crowded into the elevator and chose almost all the rooms below that. Looks like we have a lot of stops to go to.

(Time skip brought to you by Gem Polish. Give your gem that clean, sparkly shine! Also about 45 minutes later.)

Finally. All the other gems were off, and we could go to Yellow Diamonds room. The elevator once again drifted up, until we heard a ding signaling that we were on the floor of Yellow Diamonds room. The door opened to reveal a gigantic room covered in yellow. I suddenly thought that either Yellow Diamond is so obsessed with yellow she makes everything yellow, or so narcissistic she does that. I'm sure it's no different for the other Diamonds. I walked in the room, gripping the two traitors hands. Peridot started to whimper and the hybrid just looked like he was traumatized.

The guilt I felt earlier welled up to where I felt like I would burst. I kept going anyway, all the way up to the huge woman in the yellow sofa. "My Diamond..."
