Chapter 16

In this Chapter there is a new gem, created by the reports from when homeworld gems were on earth and studying it. Her weapon is not summoned, but instead a bit like Lapises. She controls plants. Yep, plants. Her name is Emerald. She had wings attached to her (not from her gem, like Lapises) and made out of really tough and big leaves. I know, cool, right? Idk. I thought of her while imagining Lapis facing off with Peridot and Peridot having electricity powers. Idk.

I had the feeling something bad was going to happen... No, something bad already happened. In my mind I saw a cracked, green gem in the hands of an unfamiliar gem with diamonds on their clothing. I can only make out that Peridot is in trouble. Someone's after her!

"Faster!" I told the other gems. They stopped walking and ran. "Jasper! Do you see anything?" I asked. "I saw one gem walking around a while back. She heard us, but didn't see anything." Jasper replied. "Jasper! Why didn't you tell us!" Pearl yelled, panting. "Jasper, Jasper, Jasper! It's always Jasper!" Jasper yelled.

"I know how you feel, Jasper, but we need to find Peridot! She always seems to find a way into trouble!" Amethyst told her as we slowed to a halt and turned around. "Where did you see her?" I asked. "That way." Jasper replied and pointed back where we came from, but a bit westwards. Steven scowled.

Oh, I forgot that Lapis was there too. Silly me (well, silly Ruby and Sapphire) Lapis sprouted wings, picked Steven up, and carried him that way. The rest of us just ran.

Stevens pov⭐️~

    After a while of exhausting (and boring) running, (well me flying, making it a little less boring) we caught up with the gem. Garnet put up her fist at us as a sign to be quiet. Of course, the gem heard rustling and looked right at us.

Her eyes widened.

"Who are you gems?" She asked, sneering at us. Her voice was low pitched but it still had a girlish sound to it. "We are the crystal gems! And this is Jasper and Lapis, their helping us find Peridot. Who are you and why are you on earth?!" Garnet growled.

"The crystal gems? Hehehe... And peridot... Looks like I already found what I was looking for... Anyways, since you introduced yourselves to me, I am Emerald facet-1A0F cut-4XT, sent from homeworld to capture Peridot and you! Thanks for making my job incredibly easier..." With those words, Emerald jerked her hand up, and thorny vines squeezed their way around around everyone except for me, poofing them. She began to pick up the rest of the gems.

I looked at her, confused. "I know your a hybrid, thanks to the reports from Peridot when she wasn't a traitor. I'm afraid that if you poof you won't come back. And if Peridot's injured we need to make you heal her so Yellow Diamond can make her suffer!" Emerald smiled sadistically and a vine wrapped around my wrist, pulling me near her and keeping me with her as she walked to find Peridot.

I used that time to actually look at her. She wasn't short, about to Pearls chest, and she wore an outfit like Peridot's. She had no visor, probably because her gem is on her neck. Her weapon seemed to be... Plants? Her hair was shoulder-length blue/green, and had a flip the end. She also has light green skin and neutral green eyes. She has long eyelashes, too.

I stopped sizing her up when I heard whimpering. Before I could see what was going on Emerald moved a leaf in front of my eyes and another vine tightened around my wrist.

"Well, look what I found! Hello, Peridot!"
