Black Rain, Stevidot

Chapter 2

Steven's pov~

Connie looked at me with an amused expression on her face. I returned it. "Well, Swimming is when you get in water and float around, but by moving your arms and legs!" I explain excitedly to Peridot.

"Well that doesn't sound fun at all!" Peridot snaps. Classic Peridot.
"Try it! It is fun, you'll see." Connie tried to convince her. I made a pleading face at her. I call it, the puppy dog face!

"Alright, alright..." She says, slightly glaring at me, her face turning a little red maybe? Meh, probably not. I grabbed Peridot's hand and coaxed her into the water. Connie went ahead and slashed into the ocean.

"See Peridot, it's fine!" Yelled Connie, paddling out farther. "Eh...." Peridot made a noise, sounding rather hesitant. Peridot glanced at the water once more and when a wave hit her foot, she jumped back.

      So cute I thought. I cocked my head in confusion at this involuntary thought. I saw Peridot try to scramble out of the water so I grabbed her by the waist and picked her up. She yelled angrily and tried to kick me.

Peridot's pov~

       I tried to kick Steven, yelling angrily. However, without my limb enhancers I was rather weak. He started to bring me deeper into the water. It was up to his knees now. I stopped kicking, because I was afraid he might accidentally drop me.

      He tried to set me into the water, but I clung onto him. Connie looked at me weirdly. It was a slight glare, and a fake smile. Her face was slightly red too.

           But Steven paid no attention, He just went deeper so it was to his waist, and my feet were dripping into the water. So he went underwater, making me let go so I don't go underwater, and drop in.

        The sand was so soft, like Stevens skin was. The water felt cool, but warm at the same time. I took my feet off the ocean floor as a wave came towards me. It crashed into me, but after it did I started to float over it.

          It was... Fun!
      Steven, Connie and I played for hours, Connie occasionally sneaking weird glances at me. Connie eventually left, so Steven and I went inside, so Steven could have the dinner.

  Stevens pov~

     As I sat down to eat my macaroni and cheese, Peridot sat next to my at the table. I got an idea...
