I arrive home and walk in.
"Why would you run off like that?" My mom asks.
"I went to go meet my friends, I forgot to give something to one of them."
"Oh well that's OK, dinner is ready." I look at her and she sighs. "Its in the fridge." I walk past my family at the dinner table and go straight for the fridge. I open it and grin at the prepackaged meat. I take it out and place it on the kitchen counter, facing towards the table.
Mom would like for me to eat at the table with them, but my dad doesn't like watching me eat, so this is our compromise.
"How was your day at work, Eclair?" My mom asks my older sister.
Eclair is 4 years older than I am, making her a whopping 16 years old, which makes her think that she's better than me because of it.
I throw the bone away once I'm finished eating and wash my face at the kitchen sink. I'm not an exceptionally messy eater, but I'd rather not have to worry about blood being on my face. I yell thank you to my parents before heading upstairs.
I pet Drago under his head and he wraps him self around me. I look out my window and see Darren and Steve walking by. I open my window.
"Hey!" I wave.
Darren and Steve wave back. "Hey, Tux!"
"Don't forget, Steve!"
"What do you take me for?!" He laughs, "I'm just as excited about this as you are!"
Darren just smiles awkwardly as me and Steve talk through the window. Despite my fear of heights I pull through.
"How's Drago?" Steve asks, smiling an evil smile.
I chuckle, "Doing awesome, obviously!"
"Steve... we gotta go." Darren smiles.
"Oh right! See ya Tux!"
"See ya Steve! Darren!" I shut the window and plop on my bed.
When I wake up its day and I check my clock, it reads 10:00 A.M. Wait! 10:00 am! I quickly change into my school clothes and dash out of my house and everyone in the house is gone so I have to walk or rather run to school.
On a normal day I wouldn't have cared about school or anything, but today was obviously a special day so I really wanted to go.
I get there about thirty minutes later and I get my stuff from my locker then head to class. I sit next to Alan - because that's where my desk is. The teachers never questioned why I am late, ever, which is often.
Lunch time rolls around and everyone was playing soccer, for some reason I wasn't hungry, so I didn't eat. I watched Darren and them play soccer for about two seconds before a person on the opposite team of Darren, Alan, Tommy, and Steve asked me to join them. Color faded from the faces of Darren's teammates.
"Uh, no thanks," Darren's team sighs. "Maybe some other time though." Their eyes widened. The game continued and Darren's team ended up losing.
They walked up to me and sat next to me.
"You don't hate us that much do you?" Tommy asks.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"You wouldn't kill us by playing soccer would you?" Darren asks.
"Maybe, if I feel like it one day."
"You wouldn't." Steve says.
"Anyway, did you get them?" I ask.
"He said earlier that he has bad news and that he wont tell us, lucky you."
"What? Steve tell us~." I say.
"No, I'll tell you at the end of the day."
"Please." We all say at once, except for Steve that is.
"Nope."
The bell rings and we go in. Its History now. World War II!
Steve and I were practically teaching the class more than Mr. Dalton was.
Next was Math, I was distracted a lot remembering Steve's 'bad news' I wonder what it is, I also noticed he was cutting paper a lot too.
At the end of the school day the five of us met up.
"What is it?" I ask Steve.
"So don't freak out." He says. "I only got three tickets."
"What?!" We all yell.
"You had enough money to get five!" I yell.
"They only got three left, so I got them. I have an idea though, we can take these pieces of paper and put it in this container who ever gets it will go." He says while pulling out the three tickets along with two pieces of normal paper. "I'll do it too."
"No I think you and Tux should get one since you got the tickets and Tux got the money for them." Darren says.
"OK." Steve and I say. Steve puts two pieces of paper in the container and then one ticket. He then hands me a ticket.
"On the count of three." I say.
"One.
"Two.
"Three!" And the three boys stick their hands in the container.
They open their hands.
"Dang it!" Tommy yells.
"Aw, I wanted to go!" Alan says.
I look at Darren and he is smiling.
"Congratulations!" I say just as I hear a certain car honk. "See ya!" I say running to the car.
This will be a fun experience, I hope.
