We woke up around the same time and Harkat was still gone being interigated.
Darren and I stayed in our cell, Seba said it would be best to not wonder around on our own we would probably get lost.
"Let's talk." Darren says.
"Alright. About what?" I smile.
"Are you and Evra...a couple?"
"Where would you get that from?" I ask.
"Don't give me that. You two were being all cuddly and stuff! You even kissed him! And you only hugged him and Nona, not even Cormac!"
I laugh, "No we aren't dating, though I have no objections to that. Why though?"
He sighs, "Sorry, its just been on my mind... I don't know why, but I thought you still liked me for awhile... but I guess you like Evra now, huh?"
I shake my head, "Evra's cute and all, but not my type."
".. Why'd you kiss him then?"
"As a joke." I laugh, "It was on the cheek too. Besides its not like my first kiss."
"Huh?" Darren snaps, "Who was your first with?"
"Jack, obviously."
"Oh right, of course."
"But do you still ha-"
The door to our cell flung open revealing a happy orange haired man dressed in all red - Mr. Crepsley.
"Let's go, Darren, Alicia, we must go to the hall of which we eat." He laughed as he made his way out of the cell he just entered and led us to another location.
It was really loud in the hall, a lot of vampires were yelling, drunk off their as- butts. We seated in a corner table - a table made ofold wood and large white bones.
We were devouring the bread and bat broth with some water on the side - Mr. Crepsley had some blood.
Seba came a while after we did, Darren and I asked for hammocks and he said "Of course and I will send some others to do it later."
Kurda came shortly after that.
"Hey, Larten, is it OK if I show the two kids around?" Kurda asks.
"Kid?" I ask obviously annoyed.
"Yeah what are you 16?"
"16?! I'm found but not that young! I'm 20! And I look 13!"
Darren facepalms then starts laughing.
"What's so funny?" I ask.
"Most people would take 16 as a compliment, but you take it as an insult."
"So what?"
"It reminds me of old times, how Steve, Tommy, Alan, and I would always mess around about your age and say you were a year younger than you actually were and how you always got angry."
"Yeah, you and Steve really loved to do that..." He stopped laughing as we both remembered our past, before the Cirque. Simple times. Simple life. No vampires. No vampaneze. No war. No Lord. No anything really. Normal. Lots of friendship and happiness.
We tuned out the vampires while we thought.
Thinking about the wondrous and amazing time I had with my best friends. How we always played outside at lunch and if I got there early enough before school.
I felt tears begin to prick my eyes as I reminisced about the
"Hey you two!! Hello!" I hear and look up to see Gavner.
