For two hours we waited. Two hours of anxiety and fear. For two hours we stayed pressed to each others sides. We desperately needed some love and affection after the torture we were just put through.

Our legs wouldn't work - Evra's more than mine. We haven't eaten since Evra was kidnapped. The feeling of my throat tightening never leaving - I'm anxious.

Darren better come back here, with food.

Sure we wanted to stop Darren from trading Debbie, but how could we not be happy about getting out? How could we not be happy to see Darren give up his girlfriend for his friends?

Sure... It was beyond selfish, but... anything was better than getting hung alive.

Two hours and Ethan hasn't come back to finish us off. I guess he didn't care enough to end us now.

Darren and Mr. Crepsley arrived two hours after the red eyed male ran off.

"Darren." Evra growled.

Darren stared at us for a second before saying, "Don't worry Debbie is alive, Mr. Crepsley was hiding in her closet and killed Murlough." Darren explains.

"Wait what...?" I ask, completely amazed.

"Yeah all part of my plan. I put a potion in some wine at Debbie's, Debbie and her parents drank it and then Mr. Crepsley and I hid them, I made Murlough think that I would trade her for you guys. When we got there Mr. Crepsley was hiding in a closet, and killed Murlough." Darren explains.

"You mean, that was all a trick?"

"Yep, Debbie and her parents are fine and still living, lets go back to the Cirque now."

"Wait... Let me heal their wounds." Mr. Crepsely says. He takes some spit and puts it on all the scratches and holes that were on me and Evra - Mr. Crepsley has healing spit - when he is done our minor wounds heal instantly and then we are back to normal, but we have scars. Exept Evra is still missing patches of scales, sadly.

Unable to actually walk, Mr. Crepsley carries Evra and Darren carries me out of the tunnels. We head back up to the hotel, shower, eat, and sleep.

Once a full twenty four hour cycle goes around we head out of the hotel. Out of the city and back to the Cirque.

This is the first time I realized and actually took in - the kid I was raised with, isn't a kid anymore and I have no power over him. Darren is stronger than I am now, and I have to accept that. How? I really do not know... and I was really hoping I'd never have to...
